Nathan Jones sacked as Saints er....."manager"

Confirms what most of us thought about Jones’s insecurities. But it just makes the whole situation even more annoying. I know you have to give people a chance but it must have been plainly obvious that he wasn’t the right man from very early on.

 

What kind of issues do you have to have to build your whole career on one system which you get down to a fine art but then be too scared to use it when you get your dream job? Especially when you have been employed off the back of that system!

 

Yep, and also considering this is probably what went wrong at Stoke. He did the same again with us by the sounds of it. Intimidated by the step up but not able to see it or admit it hence all the bluster. Ankerson may be good with stats, but maybe not people?

Yeah. You can have a manager that can’t get results, you can have a manager who isn’t likeable. But both in the same person?

 

He was only on the pitch for 9 minutes before going off injured! He did get an assist though.

I hope that kit is part home and part away to avoid a clash with the opposition otherwise that colour combination is pretty ****e. Can't blame Nathan for that unless he was the one who suggested it.
