Diamonds last minute winner against Portsmouth was awesome, the lad has amazing skill, but needs to produce it more and force this managers hand.
I simply haven’t seen it fir the first team. Very occasionally and probably less so than I did with Jones last season.. far better attitude but no more ability at our level.

He showed glimpses. Was it his full debut at Lincoln where he scored that cracker?

At this stage of his career he needs games but he'd be excellent as an impact sub in last 20 mins of games

Diamond has bags of potential, lightening quick feet , he can beat a man on both sides, and can shoot without warning, his shot against Portsmouth was an outstanding strike. Dajaku reminds me too much of Jones for my liking, but he may improve, lets hope so.

Agree about the potential. I just haven’t seen any of the rest of the stuff you mention in a sustained period. Occasionally yes. Just not sustained. He’s miles from Dan Neil’s level.

I agree with you, maybe has potential but not seen enough of the other things Clockstander mentions. Personally I think Dajaku is already a step ahead and is still settling in from a different country and is nearly a year younger to boot.
It's all about opinions of course I hope both players go on to be a success with us.

No reason why not.

Not every player makes if af 21 mind.

I just think Diamond is right getting games. Consistency is everything I know, but he can beat a man and has clever quick feet. Horrible for any defender that, if he can do it more often.

Agree completely. If his brain was where Dan Neil’s is, he’d be playing in the prem. He just seems to be unable to find the “right pass” at the minute. Hopefully he’ll get there.

I wish I hadn't read that tonight. He makes such a difference for us when fit.

We were a bit light up front anyway but if it’s a bad one then let’s hope our recruitment team can unearth another good un. But Getting someone with his skill and pace who can hit the ground running in January won’t be easy

And the games before the end of Jan. Broadhead was looking a class apart.
