It was cleaned as deleting swamps post would have meant the responses to it were no longer needed, and seeing as they were aimed at swamp, there was no point in keeping them. If removing them stops him needing to respond to the thread, then all the better, yes?

Like I said , I thought it was all ok .. Moderate because moderating is needed , not to fufill peoples wishes. I wish all the posts were still there , I await there reappearence and my wish come true. Just wanted a quiet thread that recognize s the input of one of our players that has done his share to get us out of the championship and keep us in the premier , with loyality and not overly costly . "Intolerance" and football fans' are bedfellows,as is constantly exhibited on this,and other Forums. Ageism is also rampant in some quarters!!! Swamp's post was deeply offensive in it's intent,and I'm surprised you seem to accept,even defend, it. It's removal was justified,although our mods didn't act until I highlighted it. Perhaps they hadn't seen it,so some slack can be cut. The removal of my post highlighting swamp's was an O.K. decision and won't cause a moments distress. At the end of the day we all have differing points of view of such matters.

I've seen worst posts than swamps , including from you and I vetch , without deleting . It'the selectiveness of deleting some but not others that bothers me .
Let me repeat myself. I didn't "wish" to have swamp's post removed,nor did I request it. I merely felt that it was unacceptable,and wondered why it hadn't attracted the attention of one of our mods. Perhaps,in future,I should desist from making such observations, and let the dross posters have a field day,every day. Aren't we supposed to have some standards of decency here?

I'm sure had our Mods been online at the time, that Swamp's post would have been removed there and then, no point falling out over him.
It would have been Dragon, however some seem to think we are here 24/7 and made a point of highlighting that it shouldn't have been there for him to have pointed out, he wants to act all high and mighty, but he forgets he needs to step back and look at himself first. I removed Vetch's post because although Swamps was insulting, Vetch used it to say swamp was the exact same thing, so just as offensive, just because swamp posted first was irrelevant. Vetch then makes out ageism is the sole cause, laughable, but if it helps him sleep better at night, then whatever. I will apologise for my post aimed at Vetch about his head being up his arse, but he needs to wind his neck in, I don't like his sort who don't give mods the time to actually read it, and use it as a reason for poor modding, pisses me off.
I intimated as such in an earlier post,so we are in accord,Dragon. Not sure anyone's really "falling out" though,just a bit of shoulder flexing in some quarters!!!
As I have stated more than once,the mods may not have actually seen the offending post,so that's cleared that. No fingers were pointed,by me anyway. The subsequent removal of my post, as I have previously stated,was O.K by me,and won't in any way affect my sleep pattern. This I have also previously pointed out. It would help if my posts were actually read prior to eliciting a reply. It seems that our ageist friend is now trying very hard to appear a victim. Apology accepted,and I reciprocate for my response to him.
