ok, good thread guys and a good idea wiz however i certainly havent copied this. i have wanted to do this for a long time on our board but been put off doing so as our number were too low to warrant a thread like this. just would be no point. but due to changes we have made over our side, we have had proper growth which is new members now wanting to join us. we have had nearly 15 new members join in less than a week (not including geoff bradford for obvious reasons). we have also had around members who use to post return and state they now feel the board is worth posting again due to the changes we have made. i feel very proud of this. then thursday night chris sent me a PM suggesting the cyber pub. i thought it was a good idea as our numbers have increased enough to maybe warrant this and it be a good place to put banter which keeps that off other threads. i asked chris to do a thread about it as i was about to go to bed myself. i only remembered about it yesterday when i saw the PM from chris when i was answering a PM from someone else. so last night i made a thread for gasheads to have an imput in suggesting a name for our pub. i didnt even go on your board to realise you had already done the same thing. i havent been on your board for a while now. only the other day to find wiz to send him a PM. i can see how it looks though that were copying you. like how we do a rivals thread then all of a sudden a banter thread appears on here. we start up the groups and all of a sudden the groups appear on here. but we dont go around saying you copied us as we aint bothered as these are good ideas that will help your board grow further like ours have done. i want this site to be big which includes your board shiny/lan, as for deleting posts, we have made changes to our board about guests who visit our board. there is set rules for non gashead members in the welcome thread. this wasnt being followed and i accept that not everyone would see it in the welcome thread if you havent read that thread. therefore i put a thread up specifically on this matter. we are stopping threads getting hijack and ruined by needless and unwanted comments. all reds and guests can comment on all threads on our board of course as it is an open forum but only if its respectful and constructive. the banter stuff is to be kept to the appropriate threads. the thread suggesting names for our pub is for gasheads as the threads suggest. however 2 of the 1st 3 comments are from reds already hijacking the thread offering nothing constructive but instead banter. therefore i have cleaned up the thread to make sure the threads stay on topic. nothing personal to you shiny and lan but im looking after our board to keep our members happy wiz, shiny and angelic (city mods).... i havent been on your board being active in a while but i have to say, from what i have seen this morning..... keep up the good work on here as your board is looking great and growing well i believe its my round guys..... please log in to view this image
Just a small responce to cjs,well done on improving your forum and achieving an increase in your membership,I know the work involved,it takes me back 12 months when I made all the changes on our board for the benefit of Bristol City folk and all the criticisms heaped at me from "gasheads" but we stuck to our guns and our forum has improved and an increase in membership happened and we continue to grow. To maintain growth and interest we decided we wanted a visit to our board to be an experience not just a question and answer session or a place for a moan,first and major contribution was natch's banter thread,it was his idea,the first one and it's still running,groups are a feature of this board and I did create a chat room after learning about them from other forums and have just updated our's,we then created our own guess the score,guess the gate which became very popular and has continued this season under the very able care of manxrobin,OK,Wot now City fans quiz has been running and enjoyed by our people,JohnGalleyFan2 has created a 2012/13 football league guide,shiny does a Match of the day thread which has proved popular with home and away fans and we've got the total scores game,which is yet another unique idea to our board. wiz, just to add, you didnt have to explain yourself as you done no wrong as im not accusing you of copying anything. and if you did, i wouldnt of minded anyway i know you didnt copy the cyber pub because how would you have known what i been thinking and known about chris's PM to me? you wouldnt. think it would be a case of great minds think alike also with all the other things going on with your board, as i said earlier, i havent been on your board recently and seeing your board this morning, you all have done a great job if we had no comments on our board about copying then i wouldnt of known about this cyber pub of yours. but as we had comments on our board about your pub i had a look and then seen shiny mention i deleted his post. so i only wanted to comment about that. i wanted to explain why i deleted his and lans post on our board. its been made out on here that i copied you and deleted comments about it which isnt the case. so i wanted to respectfully correct this. in order for me to explain why to shiny/lan so they know the reasons and not to get offended. anyway, thank you for your kind words as well wiz keep up the good work
