Samir nasri yet again ineffecitve in his favourtie position!

i would never rate a tottenham player better than a arsenal player. Its not normal and it never happens.

Nasri is a great player but no player is bigger than the team. Loved some of his technically gifted goals he has scored.

Player in this situation, he can just not sign any contracts, and leave for free at the end of next season.

yeah, and on his current "low wages" he can find himself dropped for an entire season IMO. see how many top teams want him after he's not played a competitive game for an entire year.

Modric and WIlshere are such different players... And they fit in perfectly into their respective club systems.

Imo - Modric is similar to Ozil in that he isn't restricted to any area of the pitch - you'll see him at both touch-lines, right next to all 4 corner flags, and really breaking forward into the box.
He's sometimes playmaking from deep, sometimes from a second striker position.

He's more adventerous than Wilshere, but as a result he loses the ball slightly more.

Whereas Wilshere (from what i've seen) does most of his work in and around the centre circle.. moving the ball wide from there.
I think he's less adventerous, but is slicker and more consistent with his short and long range passing.
I also think Wilshere has better, more measured ball conrol.

You sometimes watch Modric and he seems to play himself into danger.. whereas with Wilshere you get the impression he knows what he's gonna do before he even gets the ball.

Arsenal's midfield has more movement which works well with Wilshere's game. While Spurs don't have quite as much movement so Modric moves more with the ball at his feet.

It's quite rare for a player as young as Wilshere to play in the way he does.

Very much agree with Four2Three1. A great post. I'd see Wilshere as a playmaker, but he's also got that box-to-box side to him. Like when Liverpool had a decent team, they played Mascherano, Alonso & Gerrard in midfield. Wilshere plays the Alonso role, and plays it mighty fine!

i didn't kno that PNE. do you know how many months?

i suppose it would be tough, you couldn't exactly let him train with the rest of the players knowing he wasn't going to play. It'd kill the morale.

Wenger needs more negotiations, and if they fail, issue an ultimatum. Final offer, sign by the end of June or find a new club this summer. If he doesn't sign, make it public that he wanted too much money, and that he's on the market for 10m.

Enough of Nasri in the middle he was never good enough there, out wide is where he could do the damage, but its doesnt matter because he is leaving.

Hopefully whoever buys him can get him working longer than 5 months. For once I agree with John.

There's rivalry, and then there is being stupid. Nothing wrong with admitting that Van der Vaart is better than Rosicky.

I cant beleive John's on here already spouting this anti - Nasri propaganda again!!!

He's one of our best players.

It's this simple:

If he played for United, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Man City he would earn at least 100k a week.

the players wages are frankly nothing to do with us.

William Gallas was on 90k.
Fabregas is on 100k.

At 23 years old Nasri will undoubtedly be one of the best midfielders in Europe within 2-3 years.

<laugh>
You said that he loves Manchester...I agreed with you because he does love Manchester; ergo, the link I posted.
And now you're bringing up the Premier League table, which has no relevance to what you originally insinuated?

Priceless!

It took you almost a billion pounds (including transfers AND wages + bonuses) to get you an automatic Premier League spot and an FA Cup...wow, bewildering (!)

Funny thing is, you've spent all this money and you're STILL not better than United. Don't think you ever will be, to be honest. City have the talented individuals, but United work far more efficiently as a team and your players forget football is a TEAM game.

I still think we are a better team than City. Call me deluded if you want, but I think we are a better team, ability wise. However, our players were mentally unstable following the Carling Cup result, which did annoy me, because we don't have that winning mentality to match our very gifted players. City's confidence grew as the season went on.

What's the purpose in having all the talent in the world, but being faint-hearted with a pusillanimous nature?

Looking through my old posts and came across this.

Yet still won the league, whilst Fergie is still at United they will challenge every year but I'd only take Valencia, Smalling, Vidic(if he recovers from his injury) Rooney , Kagawa and Carrick in the City squad.

Vidic, Kagawa and Rooney would get in the first 11, the rest would be good solid squad players.
