Either that or he is solely interested in the money. I am inclined to believe the latter though because he could have said that from the start and I would have a bit of sympathy, however as he is saying it whilst at the same time asking us to pay him as much as RvP and Fabregas it just seems to much of a coincidence.
Where is this direct-from-the-horse's-mouth quote - a reliable source like a video interview? He still hasn't said he will go even if that is true, and he certainly wouldn't be sold to one of our rivals.. Give the man a chance before you all turn on him!
I know that you probably felt good writing that, but you will have read the stories, as we all have. Just to remind you, Modric has, in a very recent interview, openly stated that he doesn't want to go anywhere, and is very (note that word) at Spurs. I can fully understand why you might have avoided reading the interview, however, since such a shining light of loyalty and respect for a club is a rare thing these days. If only Nasri would come out and say, "I am happy at Arsenal and won't be leaving," eh? Heh-ho! That's the way the cooky crumbles. Still, Walnut wants to stay, so it's not all bad for you
I think he wants a combination of money and glory. He obviously believe he won't get either at AFC, let alone both. Having said that, there is absolutely no reports of United coming in for Nasri, despite his desperation to join them. As a fellow Spurs fan of mine said on our board earlier, it's ironic that we have Spurs players (Modric and Bale) in high demand from top 4 clubs but declaring their love for Spurs and promising not to leave, and you have you Gooners with top stars (Fabregas and Nasri) wanting to leave but no club interested in buying. Yet another clear signal of the power-shift taking place in North London ok>
power shift!? longest power shift in history. it's been happening annually for the last 50 years hasn't it? since spurs last won the league? modric, bale etc. are on long term contracts. big money is needed to prise them away, and clubs clearly don't deem them worth it. nasri has a year left, and is an absolute bargain at 10m with the ability he has and the promise of more in the future. when bale & modric run down their contracts, they'll be off. modric will leave as he's 25 now and will want to play consistent champions league. bale might extend for a few years, but definitely won't stay past 26 / 27. nasri wants money, simples. wenger will bring players in this year. arsenal ALWAYS finish top 4, they're just missing that final 5%. debt is reducing further, more cash is becomming available. the fans // players // world media were warned about the "drought" when they moved stadium. top 4 was the priority - and still is - until the debt is paid off, then it's all guns blazing to take the crown with big transfer budgets and wages available, and sustainable. look at man city, wages 107% of their income!! arsenal are way, way down on that, and their wages include all non-playing staff as well since they're all kept in the same company, unlike other clubs.
Well said, but why are you even responding to that clown? He's clearly trying to wind us up. Just ignore the attention seeker and he will soon disperse.
