Once again you miss the point completely. Nobody is attacking the religion. What they're doing is demonising a whole group of people.
If I say Jewish Scum, I'm not attacking judaism, I'm attacking jewish people. There's a difference. I'll give you another example. If I say all BMW drivers are c*nts, I'm not criticising BMWs, I'm making a derogatory judgement on all ppl who drive BMWs.
Like I said earlier, had you changed the Islamic part of the phrase, so that it was something like Inbred Scum then you attack the extremists without tarring every muslim with it.
Think you will find many people attack tge religion and all religion. Thats because more and more are coming to realise the problems it causes.

I know thats not what you mean but its how you are coming across. Its never been a problem for someone to accuse all Tory voters of being scum, or all Lib Dems being hippies.
People need to stop being so sensitive. A group of murdering scum are using the name of Islam. That means that Islam is going to come in for criticism. Its not me who leaves it open to interpretation. Religion itself allows itself to be interpreted however one wants so that it can worm its way into as many peoples minds as possible. Nobody is actually wrong because their is no right or wrong answer in religion. The fact theirs loads of them sums it up.

Anyway, i have taken the off topic discussion even further off topic. I have no issue with anyone or their beliefs as long as they are able to allow others to question it.
Listen mate, I will say it one last time, the use of that phrase is not criticising the religion. You know full well it's calling the whole group of people scum which anyone with half a brain knows they are not.
I'm going to have one last attempt to make you understand, then I'll leave you to it. Dr Ghaus Malik is a famous neurosurgeon, considered one of the best and brightest in his field and has saved more American lives than you could shake a stick at. But obviously he also happens to be Islamic Scum.

I was just responding to you. I agree all religion should absolutely be up for scrutiny and criticism, but that doesnt extend to villifying everyone that happens to follow it.
It's ok imo to question the route causes in the rate of crime within the black community. But if I started referring to them as Thieving Blacks, I dont think I'd be invited in to the next MOBO awards somehow.

You cannot say Thieving Blacks. Absolutely not. Its a sensitive subject and risks causing great offence even when unintentional. The same can be said of Islamic Scum. The obvious difference is race is not a choice while religion should be ( for many it isnt, a whole different discussion).
We say similar phrases all the time though. Dumb blond, fat ****, chelsea rent boys, *****phile priests, manc scum, scouse scum etc. Some are more acceptable than others though.
If I call someone scum, it means that person or people who follow his or her beliefs.
So what you're saying is that by choosing to be a muslim you are islamic scum!
