I'm not making a direct comparison with ISIS though but the fact that since the latest terrorist atrocity there has been an upsurge of what is quite simply ill informed braindead racist propaganda against Muslims in general. Yes, it's a minority and yes, it's on social media and the best thing to do is ignore and de friend or whatever but the fact is it's nonsense.
If all Muslims are terrorist then by the same token all men are rapists. Or if the next high profile child murderer or *****phile happens to be an Englishman then all Englishmen are child murderers or *****philes.
Fact is though, all Islamists aren't in ISIS. And if you don't think there are utter scum in this country then you can't have looked closely enough.
I'll get off my soap box, I'm more annoyed by some of the ****e 'friends' have been asking me to 'share' or 'like' on Facebook than by anything written on here.
If they are to generalise then so can I and the people who are anti Muslim are union jack flying council estate dwellers who contribute the sum of absolutely **** all to this country and complain that immigrants get so much benefits. Which they do of course, but no more than those making the ****ing complaint in the first place.

I think the thing is that if someone changed the name of English Defence League to English Scum it would come across as a slight on all English people. An offensive phrase to anyone who's English. It's the the same with the term Islamic Scum. It's a poor choice of wording to be honest and not very bright either. If they had changed Islamic and kept State, I think it would probably get a thumbs up from everyone e.g. Imbecille State
But I feel that those who chose to keep Islamic did so deliberately...probably for the reasons Chief said.

You would have to be very sensitive to be offended by someone saying English Scum imo. I doubt anyone would actually care.

Personally, any religion that needs protecting, isn't compatible with civilisation. Just so happens that applies to every religion.

White trash is an American term so I personally wouldn't be no. I'd be a tad pissed off if I got lumped in as scum because of something not connected to me though, purely because I happen to be a white Englishman though. Which is why referring to Islamists or Muslim in one blanket term is not only offensive to them but should be to to anyone really.

Or, in the case of the USA and Britain, use extreme religion as an excuse to invade countries and 'save' them from themselves.
