So just got off the phone with them, they want to go ahead with this.......and sign me on as a player/manager......
But Bluff would give us cheaper deals on food in the outlets at Anfield with bigger portions of course. Its the American way dontcha know!
But we still wouldn't be able to get a decent PIE. Come to think of it, I used to get a pie on the way to the ground. I walked through from Edge Lane (up Durning Road onto Kenny then down Shield Road and on). As I always enetered The Kop from Kemlyn Road you could only get a programme and a Golden Goal ticket then stright up the stairs! You could get a pie and a pint in The Paddock - had my first pint with my Dad there. Unfortunately it was Higson's Bitter - not the best!
That is not a bad idea! instead of Anfield, it could be Warrior's field, I could go for that! Saying that, these things only ever work with new stadia, you can't rename an existing stadium and expect fans to call it that. Shows what a total bell-end Ashley is. But if we build a new ground, I'm well up for Warrior sponsoring. Either that, or we make a new company called "Graveyard for mancs" and buy the naming rights ;-) Also these things only ever work with one word names, Reebok, Emirates, etc... General Motors or Sports Direct just sounds bollox.
i have been thinking about that too - after seen the look of worry on his face last weekend. remember that europa match Gerrard came in and changed the game? i think that was the 1st.
