What you mean like Cheri Lunghi????? After the Ashley Cole, John Terry and Ryan Giggs affairs - you are havin' a larf me ole mukka!!!
Indeed I was!! Having said that in another 25 years will the situation be the same? Begs the question what are the required qualities of a successful football manager, a high proportion if not all are ex players, is this really necessary? If you have director of football and coach perhaps the whole structure of how a club runs could be looked at and improved?
Funny you should mention that.... Someone said at work yesterday said we should go for the Englands women's team manager - Hope Powell. Obviously never going to happen, but you do wonder if one day they will make it into Men's football.... Oh, that programme was The Manageress - quite fancied her actually, although I was rather young!!
It will happen, but not for a long time yet...there doesn't seem a logical reason not to have women as managers..but don't ask Keyes and Gray what they think about it!
To make bright. Names for a new manager. Boss Guv still have no idea about this one but heard it somewhere Chief Coach
I presume you mean ex Hibs manager who left in Oct 2010. I don't know much about him, but has a history of touch-line bans and can be a bit hot headed from what I hear. I honestly hope GT has a big say in picking our next manager, and hope its a good choice.
Agreed Toby , if the bookies are to be believed its going to be SD ,we could do a lot worse and it keeps a bit of continuity going!
I would have to say I'm tepid to the idea atm. I feel that with the woes that we have, a young squad and not much money we would need an experienced hand. I would love Dyche to have it one day, but not now. Clarke from Hudds (I can dream) or Waddock will do nicely Nigel Worthington perhaps?
I wouldn't be against SD as the manager, but he himself said he wasn't ready so hope we could bring in an experienced Number 2. Someone with contacts would be nice....
SD is the new bookies favourite at 4/7, followed by Mark Robins at 2/1. Fortunately both Dave Jones and Brian Laws have drifted to 5/1.
