Name for next season?

  1. I want our playing name to be Hull City for the 2014/15 season

  2. I don't mind if our playing name is Hull City Tigers for the 2014/15 season

Sorry if this has been asked or answered on one of the numerous threads - but what is the official process (facts only - not opinions please) which the board of the club would have to go through come the new year to change the name of the club.

The Premier League say they should consult all the stakeholders on major changes.

The FA rules say they must apply for permission to change the playing name, which is Hull City.

The registered name is Hull City AFC. The name of the entity (limited company that runs the team) Hull City Tigers Limited. The playing name is Hull City. The FA has a record of all three but has to vote on a change in playing name.

    Am I allowed to vote?

As a neutral I think it's disgusting that AA thinks he can rip up years of history only to sell a brand abroad and then to ignore fan protests by saying "Nobody tells me what to do". He's an ignorant ****.

I'd like you to be playing as Hull City AFC.

the issue though AKCJ is a percentage of fans of other clubs may have an opinion - but how many supporters of this club actually supported the Newcastle fans in their protest when Mr "Not a clue" Ashley renamed St James Park, and therefore how many fans of the established PL clubs (we can all name 10 which will be in the PL year in, year out) will actually care about a "tinpot club from a Rugby League town in the middle of nowhere" (that comment is how we are percieved by a lot of fans from other big teams) and what it is called

If this was happening to another club, perhaps Cardiff were to be called Cardiff Dragons, as a football fan I would see it as devaluing the whole product, especially the Premier League product. It has been mentioned many times that overseas fans of the EPL like the traditions of the clubs involved, changing names to something that resembles US sport or rugby league does not sound as though it will in any way enhance the product.
