I second this, it should be called "The Ashton 8 Stand" in memory of those 8 players that saved our club.
Not a very "grateful" comment. While the Premiership is awash with money, any club aspiring to get there needs a "white knight" with deep pockets. Making appointments and buying players is always a risky business but I judge the man on his motives and that quite simply is to provide the best for his "home town". I hope he will be remembered with the same reverence as Harry Dolman
Bit of an odd question but I can't work out what they are gonna do with the end that joins the Williams for the next year or two until that gets built. They can't be cladding it can they if they then want to be able to join up and have access between the two stands? So will it be left open to the elements or temporarily covered in some way or what? If not we could temporarily call it the Open End in memory of what came before the Atyeo I suppose. I would be happy myself to just leave it as the South Stand.
The Wonderful Sometime East End Lansdown (except that he doesn't want a stand named after him and if he did it would be the Williams)/Atyeo Stand. Bit of a mouthful really
Lared Im with u If I were the decider he would get a knighthood for services to Bristol Sir Steven Lansdown There have been many who were less deserving
