There's some right bollocks written on here. Sadly it's the people posting it time and again. It's hard to be constructive when answering the same daft questions again and again. There seem to be some against the name change and others that leap to that being anti-Allam. I don't see many being anti the man, just anti this one decision.
He would not sell anyone we don't have 70 million pounds worth of talent to sell probably not even half that , the only way Allam gets anything back is to sell a premier league football club
If I was Dr Allam and people were questioning my decisions I would build up a portfolio of strong evidence to support my stance to act as a contrary to the doubters. At least that way I would have evidence and it would at least give my case credibility to other parties. Instead, Allam steamrolling ahead with his fingers in his ears is just complete arrogance and disregard to the views of his 'customers', the supporters. Without genuine evidence to back up his views this feels very much like two fingers up at the fans and local community.
See Obadiahs quote for your evidenced based argument. As Obadiahs also a member of CTWD, I'd also like to know what he thinks of the forum mods allowing posters to name-call Allam when their official stance is supposed to be that they are grateful for Allam's previous investments and they were not anti-allam. The support that you are inciting for your cause seems to be nothing but anti-Allam.
Seriously how can anyone defend him. The ONLY thing you can say in his favour is he put a lot of money into the club. His behavior has been disgusting. Constantly lying and ranting. Whilst I accept there are a few individuals who have been insulting towards him on the message board the CTWD lot have been very sensible in their approach and from the beginning did their best to approach him with respect but he has not given them any respect. I am still annoyed at him telling me I can have my money back just because I do not agree with him. The bloke that interviewed him recently was on RH tonight and he thinks his stance is aimed at Hull City Council because Allam mentioned that to him lots of times in the course of the interview. Pissing a lot of supporters off just to get back at the Council doesn't sound like anyone who I would respect.
I agree insults directed at our owners are out of order especially ones like these:- "I honestly don't know if I want such knee-jerk reacting, football noobies deciding our future." " THey need to go, get rid of the cancer asap even if it means struggling next year" "Isn't that how drug lords operate? "we saved your arse so you shut the hell up while we do whatever the **** we want?"" What sort of ****er would write such vitriolic ****?
Some Liverpool blogger said, "You don't marry a poor girl from a council estate then keep telling her how grateful she should be because you dragged her out of the gutter" that's how Allam talks about the fans and how we should be grateful because he has loaned us some money.
There are a multitude of opinions, and I don't think that one is 'fact'. The idea that anti-Tigers, pro-Allam is 'the way' is somewhat dogmatic. I oppose much of what Allam has done (Barmby, Stadium, Tigers) - but more generally, I am against anybody owning a piece of community. I am particularly against that when the 'owner' doesn't even give a **** about the club (and football in general), and is disinterested in the opinions of the community which he legally 'owns'. That is my stance, and I don't think that you can disprove it. You can certainly disagree with it, you may think that football clubs are merely an asset to be traded for profit for millionaires. Either position is not somehow factually incorrect, it is a decision we make based on our values. To say that it is bad that people are not accepting of a single position is disconcerting.
I don't understand why people think Allam would write off £80M by walking away from the club just because he couldn't change the name. It'd be reason enough for his kids to claim power of attorney due to diminished capacity if he turned out to be that mental.
To be honest apart from Chien nobody has really used obscenities. It's the same old arguments from both sides but there's hardly been any mud slinging. People have said that the bloke is off his rocker but that's hardly a criminal offence is it? You'd think we have to tread on eggshells just because it's Allam.
Clearly, that's your view and I can understand why you hold it. My point was more aimed at those that make the sweeping generalisation that being against the name change means the same people are against Mr Allam. I personally would have no issue if he stated as long as he dropped the name change.
I have stayed in the back ground in calling AA and even been quite in my support for CTWD. But AA has told lie upon lie's to the fans he promised this then that and he is just full of ****. He dont have have the fans intrest at heart and doesnt give a **** to what we think or our history. Sorry i am speaking from my heart and not my head, but if i was speaking from my head then i wouldnt be a Hull City supporter.
I'd like to ask what you think his view should be on that. Personally my view is CTWD are an independent group, this forum and the moderators on it are not here to protect their cause by censoring the comments of people who support CTWD just because their views are more extreme than those held by the group itself. Likewise if people are anti CTWD we're not here to protect them from making themselves look like fools. You can however guarantee that if we went round "cleaning up" all the anti-name change comments we'd be getting accused of doing it to make the group/cause look better by hiding the true feelings of the extreme end of it.
You can change your slogan now that the **** has pushed ahead with his name change plan. Allam is 74. He will be 75 when the name changes (if it is approved). He literally has a just handful of years left before he dies so you can just outlive him. "Back to City when you die"
Not posted one thing on this name issue, and I am sure this has been brought up, however, Do those in the know have any idea if we have signed up a sponsor for next season? is there a chance, just a chance that this name is actually linked to a big name investment deal? Naturally papa Allam cant come out and say that as it would be detrimental for any new sponsor / investor coming in and all the fans would be deeply unhappy with the new money coming in. so maybe he is changing the name and taking all the flack when maybe his hands are tied if theres a chance of big money coming in if the name is changed? Any thoughts?
