Pretty sure there was 2/3 groups interesting in buying us. The Allams and Leeds' former owner(s) if I remember rightly (OLM might know) and a third party that was interested but never really approached. AND last time, we were on the verge of financial meltdown and with a squad as thin as unbranded toilet paper. Now we're a promising Premier League Club with a squad that's proven they're more than good enough to stay that way.
Why would AA pull out because the FA knock him back? If you genuinely think he would, why would you want somebody so volatile running your club? If he did pull out why would we go under? That would not be in tune to running one of his businesses as he describes he intends. Why would a self proclaimed business man pull out & lose upward of £50m? Do you not think there'd be a buyer? We got a buyer many times previously when in far less healthy & attractive positions. If we did go under why would you turn to Leeds? Are you that fickle? You're not missing them are you? (that bit was a joke - honest!)
I never said was going to Leeds to watch Leeds United....Now where did it say that?....Your reading things and create scenarios to support your train of thought. (No pun intended)
Maybe like me he remembers when footy fans use to pack the trains going to Leeds / liverpool and Manchester on a Saturday morning and City. Fans in Hull use to be laughed at by Hull Leeds, Hull liverpool , Hull mufc supporters . We fear it happening again... Its OK 15,000 singing city till ii die but the reality is with many its City till we are **** again.
Thats based on no fact and you are marking it up, i do not agree with the name change but i will support this club no matter what division we are in. So don't go making things up just to suit your own agenda. Also to all those who say i would rather be Hull Tigers than Hull City and go under, why would we go under? Why does it mean we go bankrupt? Someone provide a logical, evidence based arguement for this please.
Allam pulls out . His only assets are the players...He puts them all up for sale.. He gets his money back. Bruce is long gone. City have to make do with Scunny cast offs. Happy days are here again.. PS I am going to Leeds to do my shopping. I happen to get on a train on Saturday which is full of Hull based Leeds fans...I wouldn't go to Bellend Road, not at £40 a pop.
A football club or indeed a rugby club cannot be compared to any other business we are not just customers, we give large parts of our lives, watching, reading, talking and now writing about Hull city, 40 odd years in my case, I have sacrificed untold time and money following City, like all who turn out to games. How many businesses inspire the passion that a sports fan shows? none, that's how many, I bet Allams customers of his generators don't sing songs about them, if fact if his generators were as crap as some of our previous players how many customers would he have left? none that's how many. Even when Hull City were diabolical thousands still turned out in hope and their loyalty ensured the club survived even when the likes of Lloyd, Buchanen and Hinchcliffe, and to a lesser extent Bartlett and Duffen tried to ruin us. Hull City AFC should have the same protection as a listed building, it can be owned by anyone but the owner must obey the laws set out to protect that building, Allams logic would have him buy Buckingham place put a roller coaster on the front lawn and change it's name to Allam Towers because the name might appeal more to kids. Allam is wrong, he only wants to own Hull City for money, nothing else, as far as I am concerned he can **** off and let someone in who wants to own the club and run it as a football club and not as a money making toy instead of a man who lies to the fans time and time again.
Sad to see so many insults directed a guy who may be stepping in the wrong direction currently but nevertheless gave us a club (and a PL club at that) to support, our best ever manager and one of the best squads we've had. Also sad to see the forum mods allowing this to fit their agenda and CTWD not condemning it.
Think this is as good as you're going to get. When seagulls follow the trawler it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea
As quoted on another thread by me http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/239322-CTWD-Membership-running-total-is/page17 I find it so disappointing the number of replies to the last few pages. If i'd put an Allam is a twat thread it would have hundreds of replies. Big things are happening at our club with these proposals and hardly any replies. I take my ht off to CTWD for trying to do something like this. I dont like the way they've gone about it but as pie in the sky as this proposal seems to me fair play but the apathy on here does not bode well. Up to 7pages now of name calling and inaction. Carry on lads .
The difference between Hull City Tigers Limited's assets and its liabilities is over £70 million. If he sells everything at the balance sheet value he walks away from the club with a loss of £70 million and he loses the tax advantages. A forced sale would see us having to sell players at less than their value, Michael Turner for example. If we get relegated he losses millions of pounds in income. Financially we are in a worse position than under Bartlett. Our financial health depends on us staying up and how much cash profit Allam Marine generates as his cash has dried up according to the Peter Levy interview.
