Apparently Redknapp said that he hadn't even looked at him. Not interested unless it's someone who's played for him before. He'd rather sign has-beens like Crouch or never-weres like Carlton Cole.

It's not quite yet a done deal, but well on its way.

Perhaps we simply were not interested.
 
I'm pretty sure that they just didn’t rate him. Plenty of other bigger clubs obviously didn’t rate him either. I'd guess that Harry and his staff know considerably more about football than us, so I'll trust our staff on this one.
 
Think the fact that he's only gone to a mid-table Championship club probably means the other clubs don't think he's good enough particularly if get they get promoted.
 
Perhaps instead we could put in a sneaky bid for Nikita Wells, played by Liezl Carstens in "The Keeper", which is not the life story of Julio Cesar:-
