Why do people in center court cheer for Nadal? Surely they must realise that if we want to see someone from Britain winning Wimbledon that we want to see Nadal go out right?

Getting behind Nadal just gives him encouragement whereas if we got behind his opponents the crowd could give them the edge instead of Nadal?

    Or is that just me?...

The people in the crowd are probably only thinking about the match they are watching and not the consequences of it. However I think both Nadal or Del Potro would beat Murray so it probably does not matter.

Nadal is a likeable guy, a very humble and respectful champion, so why would people not cheer for him. Plus he's a good looking guy compared with most Tennis players, so he will always get support from the Woman in the crowd.

Murray on the other hand is a prat, comes to Wimbledon wearing an Ecuador top when England have a game against them in the World Cup. Highlighting he is nothing but a bigoted Scot. Also unlike Nadal he doesn't realy apeal to the lady's, his hair looks like he's just got out of bed.

Nadal will once again smash Murray in straight sets tommorow, and i will be cheering him on:biggrin:

More than likely, but im glad he's finally starting to show everyone he's a Scot and not a Brit.

Icing on the cake would be him winning it then waving a scottish flag about.

xLukeyx.....Why exactly would I feel silly, Nadal may not have won in straight sets, but after the first he was all over Murray, and showed why he is such a great player, he is a class above Murray, simple as that. Murray needs to improve if he is ever going to beat the likes of Nadal in a grand slam semi or final.

I think we all seen aswell why people cheer for Nadal at Wimbledon, regardless of nationality. Nadal is a great champion but he is never cocky, and he is so humble towards his opponents, he gives Murray so much credit in his post match interview. The guy is a real gentlemen and I realy hope he can win his 3rd wimbledon and 11th grand slam, though Djokovic will be a much tougher test than Murray, I can see Nadal edging it in 5 sets
