Actually, it is time some came on here and apologised for being total pillocks It won't happen of course. While we continue to be successful they will seethe and wait for us to have a small blip before leaping in again to denigrate the club, board, manager et al.
I must admit I had my doubts about NA.Whilst the jury is still out I think we are near to a majority verdict.Avoid defeat at Cardiff and I will be thinking it's going to be boing boing Canaries.
I still have significant doubts about NA- I think the team will do ok as there is a good nucleus of players and there are several players competing for a place in the first team. There is every chance that NA will become a good manager- he isn't at the moment, but given time and support he could develop into a decent one. He has set he team up with a decent shape and there is clearly huge room for improvement in performance- all of which bodes well for this season.
Totally agree, Adam's has been superb so far we had a bit of an opening blip but his turned it around and proved the doubters like myself wrong, fair play to him I just hope he can build on it.
I completely agree. I'm delighted with how he's responded to the Wolves defeat and how he's handled his summer transfer business knowing the board would be selling key players. I also like his attitude before, during and after games. I also like the football we're playing at the moment. We looked, frankly, in a different division at times yesterday. Adams has made a great start and I'm delighted, but it's a long season And it would be ridiculous to get too excited too soon. We will have a patch with bad results - how will he respond? We will have a time when injuries make selection difficult - how will he manage that squad? We will have bad luck in games - how will he counteract so we get a result against the odds? Still massive questions that the greats - e.g. Ferguson, Mourinho, answered time and again - and the goods - e.g. Lambert searched for answers and learnt from mistakes. I think your word "develop" is key. Adams has massive room for improvement - that's a good thing - but it also means we are still a long, long way from promoted.
I'm still unconvinced we are playing as well as people think, results can have a habit of disguising that. The new signings have certainly settled in well and we have 7 points more than I was expecting and we didn't deserve defeat against Wolves. Excellent start so far.
Luck is bulls**t under Hughton if we missed a few opportunities or their keeper plays a blinder we would curse our luck but the reality was we were playing dull scared football and we were not capable of scoring as a result. Everyone plays 4-5-1 because it`s the premier league and anything else is foolhardy. Adams seems to set up the side to dictate our game on the opposition with more than one striker on the field even using them on the flanks, surprise surprise we are creating lots of chances so even if Grabban or Lafferty fluff a few we still manage to score. I hope that this is the end of the dark overly cautious boring football ethos that we had to endure, and if we manage to go back up let's actually go out and try and win a game still. I got brainwashed into believing that football should not be entertaining and it's all about picking up the single point on the road with a horrible mind numbing 0-0 because the people that own us may get another big payday if we survive. Clearly this didn't work for us and i hope we have learnt our lesson , Adams was the cheep option but he actually gives a **** about us and our club and that is priceless in todays game rather than a rent a manager Allardyce Pulis Rednapp etc etc etc.
We're far from the finished article, two areas which need improvement finishing wise Grabban and Lafferty both need to be a lot sharper I suppose it's early on in the season and they will be more clinical, the defence is a big worry Martin is not a centre back this is evident on set pieces he easily looses his man and Whittaker needs to stop being sloppy in possession he was asleep yesterday.
