I think the problem is that they've done it and realised there isn't much to do there. It costs an awful lot and it doesn't really serve any purpose yet, maybe one day they'll build a moon base but probably not in our lifetimes.

It's the point of it all, space is important because we need satellites and important scientific work can be done there, ATM there is no need to go to the moon, when we find easily accessible supplies of water we may go back, but at the moment the cost of a moon mission is prohibitive.

As for the landings themselves being a hoax, the most sensible rebuff to this I've ever heard was simple, the USSR never said a word against the landings, because they knew that the landings occurred, if anyone was to claim otherwise, surely it would be the nation who discredited the USA at every opportunity they could?

Deadliest Warrior rules. The historical ones were usually better, but CIA VS KGB was good.

maybe they just got tricked like the rest of the world did, in all honesty though i dont really care if they did or didnt, but with the worlds supply of usable fuel going to the dogs, we are ****ing up this planet with fossil fuels etc (mind you America has never been arsed with that) surely there must be something up there we can and could have used, fine if there isnt then thats why they didnt go back, just seems a bit silly, they built a space station, but not a moon station, why not, yes it was probably a little more expensive, but probably easier to build. and it would have lasted longer.

There's no oil in the moon if that's what you're getting at.

Hahahaha, even if there was oil on the moon, how do you transport it back to Earth, it is far cheaper just to go to war!

Going to the moon and back SAFELY would currently cost about 20 times more than hopping up to the ISS, that's the main reason why no-one bothers.
Something of value/use would need to be found in vast quantities before anyone spends that kind of cash again.

LMAO, there's a bit of a difference between launching a TV satellite and launching a manned spaceship. The journey there-and-back takes a week in total, they have to account for provisions such as food and water, there's the landing and the take-off once on the Moon, the safety procedures that have to be followed whilst there, the instruments needed, etc...
