I gave up after my first year staying up late for the matches when we went down.

I just cannot bring myself to stay up until 2 in the morning for that.

Should live in WA. They have early kick offs here!

In the blood mate, just cant let it go
i might struggle with 2 AM but its either midnight or 1AM here in Queensland.Catch a 10:30 PM Premier game then roll into a ****e stream in a ****e league with no fans. At least the Premier some bugger has turned a speaker on for a bit of atmosphere

What did it for me was the slow realisation that I had no one to talk to about it come Monday.

Staying up late didn't bother me too much to begin with but it's those little conversations you have with coworkers and mates midweek.

I tried forcing them on Australians but for some reason they all ****ing support Liverpool and talk about Harry Kewell like he won the balon d'or.

People are relieved and probably had a drink, I have.

It's 'forum lives' in any case ...

... Magnus, Prehab, myself have all said we'd stop posting if found to be lying.

Again I'll reiterate, I enjoy seeing little tidbits being passed on. It doesn't usually take much to figure out if the person is genuine or not even if what they've said doesn't end up happening for whatever reason.

I do find the internet a strange place though, it's taken far too seriously by some. Both by the wums and those being wummed so to speak. Claiming any sort of 'life' is being put on the line comes across as massively over the top in my eyes. No-one was ever going to stop posting either as no-one was lying. No matter how much certain posters will claim they were and those saying they will stop if proven to be knew they weren't so it was a bit of a mute point.
If you find someone annoying it's easy just to stick them on ignore. Every new Mag over the road gets put on it by me, some of the resident arses as well such as The Rat and ShieldsBlackCat. I can't be arsed with their drivel and so instead of getting wound up by it I ignore it instead, so much easier.

Anyway, I digress and I'll leave it at that and look forward to what could/will be a very interesting week after a ****ing awful year whereby my work place has been an awful place to be at times, I've suffered badly from Covid (and still have issues from it 6 months on), my wedding was postponed, my car turned into a rust bucket with holes in the subframe, my mother has found moving around increasingly difficult and can't leave the house at present, my fiance is currently suffering from Covid and then just a few days ago I came off my bike cycling to work and broke my wrist. Things as they say can only get better...........

You know i work with a few Brazilians at present. All young lads on labour hire and they love to hear about Sunderland AFC. Thanks to STID. They love their footy and they love to take interest in what i say about the Lads. They love the SOL, the pictures, the crowd, the videos.
They are willing us on to make it back.
Yea the Aussies, you ask and everyone you speak to was at the MCG a few years back watching Liverpool. Must have been the highest ever attendance in the history of football

To be fair mate, there are few forums where you'll have a thread where people post photos of themselves.

Many of us know each other as we go to the games and know other supporters away from here.

Well after months and months ,I've decided tonight to post as myself. No nick names or anything ,just my own name. My son is a friend of magnus and I have seen first hand msgs posted between magnus,prehab and smug. I can only say that when this takeover comes off these three need free pints for life. Months ago,what they have said and put there lives on the line has since come true. Well done to the three amigos.I thank you for keeping me going through the darkest of days. Onwards and upwards. As yazz said " the only way is up"
