Hasn't Sinclair run his contract down though? I thought I read he was approaching final year and stalling on a new deal. I'm sure one of our friends will correct me if I'm wrong. As tonight showed releasing cb and signing Sinclair would be a backwards step in the immediate. That's not a dig at ss just making the point that cb still has a lot to offer and was by far and away the most influential team gb attacker. Thought Sinclair played well though and his part in the goal was class. Surely Liverpool will look to do better from the cb deal (if it happens) than just pay him up and send him on his merry way. I'd get them not asking for a fee and paying him 50% of his final year for example. Having said that and as others have pointed out, when they're getting ready to spunk 18million on one failure cb really must seem like the least of their worries!
