Smithers and all,
Agree with a lot on here.
For Paul - to get away more quickly in future park further awy from the ground. Try Trentham Vale car park in Sir Stanley Mathews Way.
RE Silva I saw MOTD late last night and Lineker, Dixon and ?? slowed the incident down and it appeared that it was an arm which caused Silva to have a bandage to his head. OTT in my view Badger.
On the game I thought we competed very well and indeed Whelan and Whitehead were immense down the centre of midfield. Not sure where either went for Yaya's strike? Crouchy was working his socks off throughout and thoroughly deserved a goal, and what a strike it was. I was so pleased to be in the ground to witness such a classic goal. It reminded me of Greenhoff at Birmingham a few years back!!!! Me thinks that won ITV's goal of the season.
The defence coped admirably and I have never seen Wilson so far forward as he was in the 1st half. In the 2nd half I thought that TP was going to shoot him for the way he wasted a couple of opportunities of passing the ball forward!
Cameron was vey pxxxxx off at being subsituted and I do sympathise given the amount of playing time and the number of goals he has netted. If I had been in TP's situation I would have taken off Walters for the reasons mentioned in previous posts. I think he is better at tracking back than any other forward player we have and that is what TP craves. It is such a pity he can not look at the wider picture and play Pennant from the start. Mention is made that the balance was undone by Matty coming off. For me Matty had been hot at least 2 or 3 times in a short space of time and I thought likely to lose it. He also played a very narrow line in the second half which reduced the options down the left wing.
All in all for me a great point. Pity that GOAL did not win it. It really deserved to. ( Sure all that is posted above!) After Citeh scored I thought that it would be one way traffic but thought we did so well and Wilson Palacios really did well in the 15 minute cameo. I would like to see more of him.
Best peformance for me since Spurs. Great day and made the journey home a lot better.
Cheers
