But surely a game with more goals will get more views? Grrr it frustrates me so much.

I doubt many would stop paying for their TV licence simply because their team didn't feature first on MOTD. Although... I wouldn't put it past the mackems, 99% of them wouldn't be able to tell you what a TV is in the first place.

Its the beeb so technically viewing figures don't translate to money because there is no advertising revenue. We all pay equally with our license fee.

Yes Mrs Beeb, my license fee is the same as an Arsenal or Manure one so stop giving preferential treatment. The glory hunting pricks will still watch if you put them on at the end!

Surely if you put the big matches at the end people will watch untill the end? I usually find out when our game is and tune it for then...

You'd think so wouldn't you! But the beeb don't seem to have cottoned on to that sort of strategic thinking yet. Why am i not surprised?

And it doesn't help that the BBC HQ is in London full of cockneys who don't give a **** about the North.

I thought Tiote was ****e yesterday, really poor. Not like him at all, dunno how he got MoM. Jose was ****e before he went off too, I was proper confused watching it! Best was probs our best player but I thought it was a really poor performance all round. Not too down tho, we'll be ok. **** happens.

To be fair, it's not really the BBCs fault...Manure, Arsenal, Chelski and the Bin Dippers will have more national fans than us and Everton. The BBC aim to meet the needs of the majority, and those needs are seeing the latest team they support from the comfort of their home, 300 miles away from the stadium...

I also think a lot has to do with pre-planning the show. The fact that Arsenal are, as Tash said, the best footballing side in the Premier League, it is more likely that their game will be entertaining, unlike a clash between two mid-tablers.

TV Guides and newspapers generally tell you which games will be highlighted, so the BBC can't simply change 'cause one game is deemed more exciting than another. It's all pre-arranged!

This, but i would say Harps was our best player. What with his saves and some woefull finishing from Saha kept us in the game

I think the biggest issue was players out of position today though. Simpson doesnt understand the role of a RM and Saylor has too many rushes of blood to play RB, more often than not he was in their half. Then when Enrique went off, we had Simpson at LB, Saylor RB and Lover RM, none of them to much effect. If Enrique is out for Stoke then Ferguson should start at LB IMO.

Tiote was **** yesterday and I couldnt believe he got MOTM.

Everton have struggled this season and I got the feeling that our players thought all they had to do was turn up.

We missed Barton and I want to know why our players are frightned to shoot outside the box.

Jonas and Tiote had plenty of chances to shoot but tried to walk it instead.

one of the most infuriating things is that when one of the opposition players runs at us we never ever close him down til the very last second, its ridiculous and we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot defensively.

Agree with the ratings - especially about Steven Taylor! Perchino should start if he has to, if Jose's injured I think Perchy could do a job at left back ahead of the youngster Ferguson. However if Perch is poor then whip him on!

    And Harps was crazy!! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Oy you! Don't you come back at me with a well thought out and thoroughly sensible set of arguments, with which to shoot my drunken rant down in flames. I hate it when people do that! :)

Fair play. You are talking sense! <ok>
