I think todays performance from our lot was quite poor with the exeption of Colo an Saylor

Simpson fustrated me the most, almost every time he got the ball he just pnted it up to strikers who ddnt hav a chance of winning them
i thout Raylor was ok, we defo need a new left-back
Jonas was alryt, i think he was held back due to the fact we ddnt have an out an out left-back so he did a decent job of protecting Raylor, i think once a new left-back comes in we'll see him attack alot more, did well relieving pressure on defence
Barton was poor for the majority of the game, but everyone has a bad day every now an then
Obertan showed glimpses of why he was at Manure, just ddnt get involved in the game too much, him as well as Cabaye, i think Cabayes vision is exellent, you could see from the passes he was attempting he has really good vision, just ddnt come off today, but i think he will be key to our season this year with his deadly vision
    Ba was poor looked unfit
    Ameobi was alryt

overall i would have liked to see Vukic on the bench an maybe get a good 10 - 20 mins game time...

    My personal ratings :

Krul 7 - Not much to do to be honest. Looked OK in general.
    Simpson 7 - Solid but unspectacular(as per).
Saylor 8 - Very good in general. Controlled Van Persie well with his tackling, marking and his aerial ability.
Colo 7 - Nippy, quick, solid and his partnership with Saylor looks to be improving per game.
Raylor 6 - Gervinho had his number in terms of pace & skill but he was mostly solid & did a reasonably good job.
Barton 7 - Worked hard, showed good passion, fighting spirit, competitiveness, his passing was decent and his crosses were good. Not his best day in the office though for many reasons. <whistle>
Tiote 8 - Looked his usual self(solid and impressive) and picked up his usual yellow card. <laugh>
Cabaye 7 - His passing was good, showed he has great technical ability and showed he can tackle well. All-round performance was good but nothing spectacular. Give him time though & we'll see him SHINE. <ok>
Guti 7 - Worked hard, helped the defensive a lot(as per), showed decent skill and pace.. all-round good performance IMO.
Ba 6 - Looked a bit rusty and wasn't in the game that much but showed good skill and touches. Don't know why Pardew subbed him though OVER AMEOBI!!! <yikes>
Ameobi 7 - Mmm.. him & Ba are simply too similar IMO(big target-men but can score who lack explosive pace/dribbling/skill/etc..). Shola had a decent game though IMO.. showed some decent footwork and played his role of ''target man'' very well.. showed good strength and won most of his headers. Although I still think he's back-up quality no more.. need a clinical striker with PACE & SKILL.

Subs : Obertan 7 - Looked impressive indeed.. showed excellent pace, good in the air(6ft 1'') and showed he has very good technical ability. Promising signs in general. <ok>
Best 6 - Showed decent movement and looked good in general.. Shola should have been subbed earlier though(60 min mark atleast for example).
Lovenkrands - N/A.. Was he even IN THE GAME??? :/

Whole performance - 8/10. Defence was very good, midfield very good aswell.. but lack A STRIKER WITH PACE!!!
