In sacking Moyes, I believe that Man Utd have shown that they are just like every other "big" club. They offered Moyes a long-term deal, and talked big of allowing him time, but he was wasn't even given the full season. Also, all of these stories regarding the United players sn****ring and sneering at Moyes throughout his time at Man Utd paint a picture of a truly dysfunctional club. The players are wolves, and Fergie led the pack. Once the pack leader left, the players fought the new leader for dominance, and like in every other club on the player the players won. I truly believe that, if he was given time, Moyes would have built a squad capable of challenging for the title in three years. I also believe that this is the first real time that the Glazers have had to run Man Utd, now that Fergie is out of the picture. This again could be United's downfall at the hands of Fergie, as not only did he win the league with a terrible squad, but he could cause the upper management to fall apart without his influence. Honestly, if I were Man Utd right now, I'd spend the hundreds of millions at my disposal towards keeping Fergie alive and working for another decade. Put his brain in a robot and have him lead the squad from now until the end of time... As far as Moyes is concerned, I'd like to see him go abroad and repair his reputation like McClaren did. A good stop-gap could be either of the Old Firm jobs. Lennon wants out soon so I reckon Moyes could be a fantastic replacement, but since he is a Rangers fan I reckon he could take over McCoist in a years time once Rangers are back in the top flight and he could look to rebuild them into a title winning outfit again. If he does want to get back into management I can see the Newcastle United job being an attractive prospect for him. He's proven to be good when money is tight, and if he could get a team like Newcastle into the Champions League the reputation that was destroyed at Man Utd will be back with a vengeance.
