    It must cost a ****ing fortune to build stuff in London, I doubt it's the same for somewhere like Middlesbourough.

    Land purchases are a tiny proportion of the cost though. The differences in wages, etc are not enough to make up for the huge differences in spending. The reason for the difference is this London-centric bubble the westminster Parliament is caught up in.

    Fair play, I didn't realise the gap was that big.

    I just know that most places in London cost a ****ing fortune to sort out, even simply putting a new bus stop in, but the gap is a bit ****ed...

    £5 per head in most the rest of the country? Do they lend a town 1 bike and tell them to pass it round to the next one every year?
