Wow just wow! So proud to have received my quota of my new book Back To Reality, Leeds United 2017-18 today. They have managed to put all the photos I wanted into the book so if you had your photo taken by me last season, there is every chance you will be in the book! I wasn't sure if they would do it so I am chuffed to bits! Those who have asked for all 5 copies of my books, please note I have got further stock in now, so can arrange to meet you at one of the games. I will be attending the Leeds United Trust meeting on Saturday, going to Millwall and obviously will be at Elland Road at the next home game. As I won't be able to carry them all at once, if you wish to buy an autographed copy from me please let me know so I can work around the games.
Congratulations Heidi, and next seasons book will be?? ....... Back to the Premier League Leeds United 2018-19 Heidi Haigh Or Up Where We Belong. Leeds United 2018-19 Heidi Haigh
Not too bad but I was a nervous wreck on Monday and just wanted to cry. Once the meeting started though and I'd had a chat with my line manager it helped. I've just been updating things and working out what we can do to help alieviate the pressure. Got a meeting next week to discuss things further so see what happens then. I had to cover reception today and although apprehensive went ok so think the Friday will be okay until I've got work experience to sort. That's when I need flexibility as there aren't enough hours in the days to sort it all.
I’m lucky as I’m self employed now, it brings its own stresses but I remember when Sunday afternoon would arrive and I’d be so fed up with the thought of “work tomorrow”, it’s a horrible feeling. I was in a particular work place doing a job for them the other week and the guy in charge was probably early twenties and a complete prick. I’ve no idea how some of the people at the top get to where they are, my colleague who was working with me (also self employed) said he’d not last 5 days if he had to go back in the real world under managers like him. Fingers crossed the meeting goes well for you
Thanks as my hubby says those who can't do the job get promoted! He's self employed too and just chock a block which has it's own challenges too by him being knackered all the time. Just thankful that we can both keep going at the moment. I need to work so I can follow Leeds so it's a no brainer!
Be nice if we could match the 29 game unbeaten start (think it was Stoke that ended that at 30 if memory serves for once). Then I'd agree with (mad / bad) sniffer that Bielsa is the new 'Don'
Yes it certainly was Stoke where we lost 3-2 in the end. Washed my scarf for the first time that season after the defeat!
What year was that Heidi? 73,4,5? I was born in 67 so too young to truly remember and sadly missed the best of the best but it didn’t matter, loved Leeds like I do now and never accepted we were anything but the best. Drove my mum mad, shouldn’t have been fighting over footie at seven years old but I did
I've looked it up in my second book. We got beaten at Stoke on 23.2.74 after 29 matches unbeaten in the league
I’ll buy your books, I absorb our history more than any lessons I had at school. Might be a bit controversial here but, purely timing with my age, I don’t get the Man U hatred like others do and cringe at the chants directed at Nigel Clough. I genuinely believe, given his success straight after Leeds, given three years, Clough snr would have made Leeds today what Man U are. I’m not envious, I love my Leeds but I do think fate / history and a little bit our own fans have actually thwarted what we could / should have been.
