All my life I've had a sticky out mole on my back.

When I was on holiday recently (see holiday thread), a fly attacked me extremely aggresively throughout the night, and the next morning I discovered that it had eaten/drank approximately half of the mole.

On returning to England I made an emergency appointment wih the doctor, who classified the mole as a "mole/wart", and advised that another doctor would remove it, if I made an appointment.

However. On informing the reception of this news, they advised me that the doctor had a very long waiting list.

So on Saturday, I tried to remove the mole/wart with a razor blade and a bread knife.

But the ****er is still there, and it hurts.

I have today contacted a beautician, and made an appointment for this thursday, during which she will examine the mole/wart.

She has advised that if she decided it is a wart then she can remove it, but if it is a "member of the mole family" she will not be able to touch it.

Could GC kindly advise me of my chances ?

Thanks.

D I Y cosmetic surgery , what could possibly go wrong mutilating yourself with a non sterilised bread knife? .
Aso I don't think a fly could eat your disgusting mole/wart.

****ing did though. It was a Romanian horse beast from up some mointain that I got trapped in my daypack during a heavy shower.

And that's what I don't get. How can a fly get half of it with its tiny little fly mouth, and I cant get the other half armed with a 6 inch bread knife ?

You tried to cut it off your back, how did you see what you were doing, are you an owl?

Camera and mirror.

It is in just about the worst place possible for access and visibility though.

If you imagine the blind spot in your wing mirrors, then it is right bang there, mbut on my back.

In general they will leave moles alone unless they start to cause pain or change shape which could be an indication of skin cancer and with all those holidays you could be a candidate. I wouldn't recommend trying to cut one off though, those things bleed like a mother*cker. Having nicked a few on my face while shaving I can attest to the mess they can make.

Or you call it Adrian and learn to love it. Here's a useful guide - http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Mole-slideshow.aspx

I had an annoying skin tag on my back, GP booked me in to have it removed, turned up at the clinic and in the meantime it had dropped off. I hadn't even noticed and looked a bigger chump than usual. I have had a subcutaneous lump removed from my back (which hadn't disappeared) and they used a laser thingy which made the process smell like cooking bacon. Mmmm bacon.

I took my pig to the doctor the other day, and said, "doctor, my pig's hurt its foot"

The doctor said, "it's called a trotter"

I said, "i promise you it's a pig"
