I thought everyone was just "meh" about fulham. Brentford hate us because we are better than them and we stole Rowlands off them.
This, plus many years ago in mid 60's there was alot of talk about us and them merging as a club with Jim Gregory looking to form a super club with Brentford ceasing to exist. Seem to recall alot of angry Brentford fans protesting at the time and the idea was eventually dropped, remember we were both 3rd division sides at the time....
But about three to four years ago we were in that paper all the time. My confusion is based on the sudden change. Most papers have nothing about us so I don't expect papers to have stories about us. I just don't know why they stopped one day.

Dear Adam, It has obviously escaped you attention but our paper is owned by the wonderful Mr Alexander Lebedev. He is of course a Russian by birth and has the same kind of untarnished background as his more famous compatriot who owns London's top club. It is a mystery to us here why you would think we would waste our time in promoting a club that has recently been owned by an Italian comedy turn and now a Malaysian entrepreneur who thinks he can run everything from airlines to football clubs without the need to pay-off corrupt officials. That's just not how it works of course and Mr Lebedev is far more comfortable supporting the team owned by his more worldly-wise countryman who is also able to run full page Gaz Prom ads in our paper. Oh, and didn't we here that there are at least a few QPR supporters who vote Labour? As I'm sure you know, that is not at all in keeping with the traditions of the Standard where we have always known whose backsides to lick. I hope this explains everything. Do tell our your friends about the values of our newspaper.
