    They do a similar thing in the BTCC, so it's not that ridiculous. It would be like giving the inferior teams a golf-style handicap. At least it would stop Vettel charging off on his own all the time...

    Yea I know running two heats I used to follow that a few years ago. Not sure if it would suit F1 though... but hmm maybe it would. Would sure be interesting to watch that's for sure.

    Its a good idea, needs tidying up a little though, can see a few problems with it. But because everyone only does one run per session they get through, it should knock the time down a bit.

    It reminds me of the Superpole thing in World superbikes, nothing like it, just reminds me of it!!

    I agree with Miggins' suggestion to make everyone use their qualifying tyres in the race and to solve your valid problem chrispa, it could be compulsory for you to set a time in qualifying in order to race.
