You stick Pogba, Vidal et al. next to Coutinho he becomes world class.

Unfortunately we've had Lucas, Hendo, Allen et al. next to him.

That's not a dig at those players it just shows what teams like PSG are looking for.

Unfortunately we can't currently attract players like that, so we have to keep him until we can. That's assuming he doesn't die of old age.

Players don't make their names overnight, it's a gradual process. Who will ever envisage that United will go back for Pogba?.

We're talking about a market, so "worth" is irrelevant and what everyone else does is relevant.

    This sounds a bit ominous.

From his post match interview last night.

"when asked about interest from the Ligue 1 champions, Coutinho said: "As far as I know, there's no offer. I'm here with the national team, and this subject is for my representatives."

Will be a shame but, he isnt good enough for Barca but he is good enough for PSG

If he leaves lets gets a good sum of cash and let Klopp and his team build us

Great when on form bit he does go missing a few times. Not a 1/4 of Suarez

Want him to stay but can see him going but in the long run it wont sink us

If PSG pay megabucks for him Klopp might not get all the fee, the transfer kitty for this summer is already decided and active, FSG got their fingers burnt when they tried to hike up the ticket prices to pay towards the new stand and might decide to bank it, they're probably paranoid after the way Brendan squandered most of the Suarez money.<laugh>
Klopp is at Cops America, hope he finds what he's looking for.

Anyone with an ounce of sense would trust Klopp and the Brain more than Rodgers and the nice man in flip flops

If Cortina wants to go, lets get as much as possible and let Klopp get his men

Does sound like coutinho wants to know if a move could be done. Not the usual sort of answer from players away from club duty.

Reckon it would be a good move to do a Suarez in you can have your move if you give us another season ala Suarez who left us in a good place cl football etc sadly we didn't have klopp there to spend wisely.

Coutinho's next move should be to Barca as Iniesta's replacement. Playing as the number 8 is his best position IMO.

    He's going.

You don't say that unless you want to get a big move, simples.

A real shame, but **** it.

Every time he has a good game I think we have to keep him at any cost. Then he has 3 or 4 where I'm wondering where he's got to.
If he does stay he needs to improve his consistency - at the moment he's another Garcia, moments of extravagant brilliance in long periods of anonymity.

For Coutinho's development he needs at least one more season at Liverpool.

like a a few have said itll be a shame but it certainly wont break us by a long way, i said after the season ended that klopp could get shot of ANYONE in our squad and id back his decision, i have confidence he knows what we require more than brod ever did, coutinho is a good player but hes no suarez.

anything above 40m is a good offer imo

No player we have or will have in the next few decades will be like Suarez. It's not a valid point. Coutinho is about the only bit of excitement we have in our team. Firmino is very inconsistent and our other midfielders comprise Lucas, Allen, Henderson and Milner - literally a party I would decline if I was invited to. Dull as ****. Sturridge is the only other player we have that comes close to Coutinho, but he's a crocked moody bugger.

Coutinho is also about the only draw we have for players with talent and we don't need the money from his potential sale: Klopp will not be splashing millions this summer and £40mil from Coutinho I guarantee would not be put towards a marquee signing. I'd rather we focus on getting West Ham to buy Benteke

no such position in a 4231.....

Nah, playing as a left half as cover for the worst left back in the league is surely his raison d'etre?

We have three number 10's and we play the best one out of position. Pah, I don't blame him if he wants to go.

Sorry to keep on parrotting this, but for his development he could do a lot better than playing as a left-half in front of a left back who think's he's a left-inside forward.
