M'Villa Arrested

Discussion in 'Arsenal' started by The Bonstar Wandit, May 1, 2012.

  1. You can have Pennant as well as you can be sure that Wenger will not sort him. We will give Whinger a second chance to sort him if the courts don't!

Balham - You have your own hotheads already and Wiltshere is one of them!

What's the big deal, this is a non-story! He gave the boy a slap, not like he gave him a good hiding.

His name is Wilshere tenter, and I agree he can be less than forgiving when being kicked by cloggers.

Some people have already made their minds up he's innocent and that the kid deserved it without actually knowing anything about what happened. Bizaare.

This thread is somewhat typical of English/British people. They (not me I hasten to add) love it when people at the top take a fall, they love to think they are in some way better than the rich and famous in some way, in some way it gives them belief that they have the moral high ground or some other tat like that. I love the way so many feel they are "holier than thou".

People make mistakes, get over it rather than sitting there condemning all and sundry. I bet many of you think Dwain Chambers should be banned "for life" too <doh>

I do actually. Athletes are living in a 24*7 culture of watching what goes down the throat.
They know from a young age about no second chances. Lots of examples to learn from. He didn't. Tough.

    Tut tut Bergy.

I think if YOU made a mistake in life you would like to know you would have a second chance. It doesn't matter what the rule is, we are not talking about murder here, we are talking about something far less sinister but something that can prevent someone providing for their family. I think it is TOTALLY wrong.

Providing for their family? What! He transgressed - made money cheating - denied honest athletes their just recognition.
No pity - sorry. Don't waste your time on me.
We all make mistakes and have to bear the consequences - throw in jobs, lose it with partners, piss off our kids, wreck our cars, vote for New Labour (<laugh> well I never did that).
Lighten up - I don't want to argue.

Athletics is rubbish, he probably just took the drugs to make it less boring.

JJ - boring? interesting dismissal I can't agree with.
We've got Olympic tickets for the day (Aug 7th) of men's 200m heats. If Bolt or Powell are fit we'll see him run the fastest I've ever seen a man run live over that distance......

Meh 10" and it's all over and they get raved about. I do that in the bedroom and the missus doesn't talk to me for a week. Judgemental mare...

The Olympics in particular can do one. 'Spent' over a grand on tickets and got nothing. I ranted good and hard about how stupid it was and that I hated the Olympics. Second chance came along and I fell for it, applied and failed again! Fooled me TWICE! Won't happen again dagnabbit. Athletics is officially rubbish.

Yes, he should. Taking illegal drugs to cheat isn't "people making mistakes". It's not something you do on the spur of the moment. You screw up, you take the consequences ... you don't get a slap on the wrist and then told you can compete again in a bit.

Your defence of "people just want to feel holier-than-thou" is purile at best.

Tell me a crime/mistake apart from spur of the moment violence - that isn't pre-meditated <doh>

They all are. Doesn't mean people should be punished for life.
