Harry , I blame tonight's performance completely at the door of Neil Lennon
He picked a terrible team. Only two defensive minded players on the team.
Rogne and Victor. Two fullbacks were attacking at every chance. Centre
Midfield Kayal and Rogic both wanted into the M'well box. No big
surprise that when Motherwell scored both goals they had five men
Forward and Celtic three back. I thought Rogne in the first half
Looked strong, Forrest in the second. Stokes was off side or on the
Wrong side of defender all night. It was a brilliantly set up goal.

Got what we deserved - nothing.

Why doesn't he play his strongest team then tinker with the new boys as subs in the 2nd half <confused>

Agree totally with this - I just don't understand why the strongest team is not put out on the field at the start of every game and when/if the win is assured, bring on the subs. Accepted, from time to time it may be necessary to rest a player but if that is the case he shouldn't be on the bench. Last night Victor Mugabe Wanyama and Gary Hooper started on the bench and had to be brought on to try to rescue the game. Although, in saying that, nothing could legislate for the disaster that is Efetobore "Efe" Ambrose Emuobo's defending at the moment. I dislike being critical of players who have a bad game now and then but he's cost us too much in games recently.

Individual players were not to blame last night. Remember we were playing as a team.
If you remember the first goal against Juventus Ambrose was isolated against Juventus
Striker. Wilson was marking no one 20/30 yards away. Wilson made no attempt to help
Ambrose who clearly made a mistake. Team game what was Wilson doing?
Last night was disgraceful , only 3 defenders in box against 5 M'well players ?
No team anywhere would be caught out like that. It wasn't the player inside 10/12 yds
Who were to blame for Celtic but he who didn't pick defensive midfielders.
This also meant that going forward Celtic players were so plentiful all batched
together that Celtic were going nowhere.

Thanks and apologies Coo - my mistake. I didn't notice Victor making much of an impact first half so that's probably why I thought he had been on the bench!

Sorry sh, I as I said, I don't like criiticising individual players for off games and I take your point about it being a team game plus the poor tracking back that occurred last night by other players but if 'Efe' had done what he's paid to do and simply dealt with the initial balls the goals wouldn't have happened. In my honest opinion, he's been the main culprit and it's his mistakes in the main which are costing us dear at the moment although I will certainly concede that defending as a whole hasn't been good.

Super , what was your opinion of Mr Brines last night ?? normally I check the highlights on tv to make sure it matches my thoughts at the game .I've not had a chance to see the highlights but at the game I thought he missed at least 3 Motherwell bookings , what was all the fuss on the half time whistle ???

That team should have bene good enough to beat Motherwell.

Lennon made some mistakes in hsi selection but some playesr were strolling around making basic mistakes.

Lennon came out and said if they dont have the right attitude then he'll play kids ... do it, play some of the next gen squad in the league ... bring them on in terms of experience.
