I have been moaning about our defence for 4 seasons now. I could see this whilst some others were preoccupied by a certain midfielder. The best defender we have seen for years at the gate was Caulker and we desperately need another like him. He was the main reason we didn't struggle that season. He's been gone for over a season and we still haven't replaced him. Grrrrr!
Any decent CB will probably be playing for their respective teams. Caulker was a one off and you won't see many of the likes of him offered out on free. Any other club than a Rednapp team would probably kept him at their clubs. Most clubs seem to hold them within the clubs loan out most other positions but not CB's McManus and Bikey was loaned to try and reduce their clubs wage bill. When we finally get this elusive CB he will come from the lower leagues, or a ageing prem player. Psst hope I get egg on my face, and we get some great one tomorrow
Its also great to see caulker playing in Tottenhams first team againt man Utd! Was so proud :') get him in the England team now!!

Ok Caulker was exceptional, but we have had decent CBs before - Carey was spot on until about 3 seasons ago, Shaun Taylor was another in that mold. They DO exist.
