For anybody interested, Marcus maybe, There is a thread on the Salut Sunderland site about a Sunderland supporter, retired and now living in Spain, who started very late in the music business, but stands now on the brink of something rather special, its a nice story.

Whilst on the music theme, if anyone lives in or near the Boldon area there is a cracking band on in the Colliery Tavern this Friday at 9pm called the Revolutionairres. I have seen them a good few times now and they are well worth watching. I've just arranged transport for me and a couple of mates so will be heading down there..

Used to live a few yards from the Colliery Tavern & just a mile or so now. Its a great pub and have seen a few bands there. The Revolutionaires are a great band....just not my kind of music. Well worth a look though for anyone who hasn't seen them.

I've not seen many bands locally since Sleepers was closed, it was a great venue for local bands - Mother Earth, Dusty Tools & The Force to name but 3. Going to see Shine On at the Cleadon WMC next month and looking forward to that.

My nephew ( lead guitarist ) has started a band about 2 years ago getting some great reviews but not my type of music call themselves Stand amongst Giants from Chesterfield.

The Force are a bit warm as well although totally different music.
