I'm off on a little scouting mission tomorrow, going to check on our new lad Ryan Bennett in the Posh v Hammers game at London Road. I'm up in the 'boro at the weekend on family business and managed to wangle a little jaunt to the game with a few of the lads. Should be a good un and an ideal test for Bennett against strikers we will almost certainly be facing a couple of times next season. I've seen him a couple of times previously in the flesh and also on the box a few times, always rated him highly and he stood out as one of the clas acts on the pitch - he even won me a few quid when I had him as 33/1 first scorer last season and unsurprisingly he became my favourite player from my 'second team' so to say I was over the moon when we signed him is an understatement! Hopefully he'll put on a good show tomorrow (even though I think the 'ammers will take the points) and be ready to hit the ground running when he finally gets the o' yella shat orn. I'll report back after the game, hopefully it will be all good
Bit worried now as Paddy Power haven't got him listed in the goalscorer market so not sure if he's actually playing? That said it's not the most accurate, Chris Martin was 8/1 to be first scorer weeks after he'd gone out on loan
Mission aborted! The match has fallen foul of the -14 overnight temperature and been called off. Bloody weather Ah well, at least I'll be able to listen to our game now so not all bad.
It's absolutely **** was looking forward to hearing a report on Bennett, there is hope firstrowsport.tv or eu and you can watch the Norwich game live. Manchester United are playing so I'll be avoiding the eleven pubs near my house because half of the sink bin estates in East Northampton will be empty because most of the local pricks from there will be in my area having their Stella.
