Old news, it does look as if Mr Gao is giving up life in China and is moving his businesses to the Western Hemisphere, the Saints are just a way to get his feet under the carpet in the UK.

Checking the financials on Lander, and only now realized that it's in RMB and not dollars. Now I cannot figure out how it ever had a valuation of $1b+...their revenues from the past four quarters equate to about £86m, and per Dreyer it owns assets of £286m against debts of £126m. Not a small company by any stretch, but unless it used to own a lot of other stuff, I'm perplexed how it made Gao a (paper) billionaire. Would explain why the company had difficulty getting funding to buy the club; its net asset value might not have exceeded the value of the loan he was seeking.
