Not to replace my damaged one. My kneecap kept dislocating and locking my knee up , very painful when it dislocated. So they took some ligament from back of my knee screwed it in to my patella and my thigh bone sort of hooked it around and screwed it in to my shin to secure my patella. I now have a bruise that covers the entire lower leg, looks like its been run over.
