Was the ligament to replace your damaged one?
They used something out of my thigh to replace my lateral ligament

It is painful, but that will pass
As was said earlier try not to let it get you down. When you’re able to work on it then I’d try and do everything the physio advises as much as you can.

Despite my injury it really is ok now. I’m conscious of it but it doesn’t stop me doing anything (including stupidly trying freestyle snowboarding and launching myself ineptly off jumps and up half pipes)

Good luck
Not to replace my damaged one. My kneecap kept dislocating and locking my knee up , very painful when it dislocated.
So they took some ligament from back of my knee screwed it in to my patella and my thigh bone sort of hooked it around and screwed it in to my shin to secure my patella. I now have a bruise that covers the entire lower leg, looks like its been run over.

Ah ok
Bloody amazing what they can do really
How’s it going at the moment?
