I doubt it. Yes weve spent 150million. Weve also lost 14 players. Thats a huge turnover in playing staff. Some of those going have been here decades. So weve had to spend to fill all the gaps. Van gaal said 3 months. If by mid november we are still on this sort of form then by all means, van gaal will be in trouble but i highly doubt that. I cant get away from being a little happy about how gopd our attack looked yesterday. For once there are always positives. Not like under moyes where positives were outlawed.
Its true though. Take chelsea out of it and consider your games. Thats been forgotten im all this. West brom havent just beat us ffs. Or palace. A very good side has. We wont be tye only team leaving the king power with **** all.
There is no questioning the attacking ability, but until you get a Roy Keane, Vidic and Rio type players, when it comes up against the bigger teams you will get slaughtered as there is no defensive quality in the squad. That said, once these positions get sorted with the right quality, then Utd will soon start climbing up the table, and fast.
Moyes would have been doing better than this even if he were still with Everton!!!!! That said... LVG does have a history of starting abysmally and turning things around... except with Barcelona in his 2nd time there when he still had them in a relegation battle by January. LVG may not have much money to spend in January- they'll probably save it so that Tim Sherwood has money to spend next summer instead.
To be fair, Mourinho's approach to the game was like he was still facing Fergie. Came for the bore draw and got it. Arsenal were impotent and we took advantage. Both teams came with preconceived ideas about the strength of our team. I doubt either will be doing that this season. Another good example is Liverpool in the League Cup. Beat you's early in the season 1-0. Then when we faced you in the league a few months later, you beat us hands down. I think most sensible United fans can see the style, tactical approach and general quality of our football going forward has been a breath of fresh air over the last couple of games. People have forgotten that our midfield was pure ****e. We couldn't make a decisive forward pass to save our lives. Players were static, no movement at all. Sideways passes leading to the eventual 40 yard cross-field ball out wide to cross it in aimlessly into the box. All that has now changed and I am loving that. The defence is a friggin abortion tbf but from what he's done with our attack, I have full confidence LVG will sort the defence too.
Guess what, Southampton, Villa and Swansea managers have had a better start to this season than Pellegrini or Rodgers (1st and 2nd last season) shock, horror
Van Gaal is a ****ing loony tune Hitler Love the players looking at each other thinking 'What the ****?'
Typical load of bollocks from the press. Its where you are in May that counts, not in bloody September!
No they won the leauge for about the 100000 time. It might be more competetative than La Liga - but I reckon I guy that can't even spell his name right (you) could probably win the league with Bayern. Also if you can't see any humour in that twat's speech and dancing - then I reckon you should get out some more.
I can definitely see the humour. But don't see why he's a twat. I think things like this are a desperate attempt by some to find any tenuous reason to rewrite the guy's ability and history. It's clearly a desperate smear campaign and although it works while our results (after 5 games) aren't great, I think many who are mocking, deep down know they have to get all this in now, before the inevitable improvement/success this manager will bring, which they know he will.
Spot on treble. This is a window of opportunity for lesser clubs and their fans to poke fun. Enjoy while it lasts. Come next summer we will spend 150million on defenders and its game over.
