Moyes will be fine - he just needs £200million to spend this summer. Oh I do hope he sticks around to piss it down the drain
You really should remember what you post mate.... It's their first without CL since it's inception & the 'state of the club' wasn't an issue last May when they lifted the title, so by definition you're talking about 1 bad season you meff.
Loverpool? You have some experience of this? Sounds interesting. Agreed, Klopp is more than realistic and the perfect next step on his career. No guarantee but of course he'd be interested in managing United. It's the wrong time for the other three unfortunately but if either Guardiola or Ancelotti were a couple more years into their current position they would of course be interested. In Ancelotti's case he might only get a couple of years at Real anyway.
Maybe not but then again, does anyone believe he hasn't been offered (or at least sounded out) for 'bigger' jobs in the last couple of years and yet he's remained at Dortmund. The guy is very loyal and may wish to see his contract out. If I was on the United board, he'd be who I'd go after though. Seems a natural progression and has on paper, the tools to succeed at United without wasting loads of money in some desperate scramble to buy anyone for circa 30-40 million who will sign like the 'chosen one'. You might actually get some return on that Kagawa investment too.
Club = the ownership and debt issues Squad = do you not agree the squad is poor? Neither of which meant the current poor season. Lack of CL football = it effects players so why not a manager? Fair play, they won the title last year and it was a great achievement, but it wasn't exactly a great team was it? They won it more because everyone else was **** then them being extremely good.
1. There are no ownership or debt issues, they're more than capable of servicing their debt & still make a healthy return. 2. Their squad needs work, but that's the ideal time for a new manager to arrive, so he can develop his own side & not simply have to make the best of what's there 3. It's one season - next season (as it stands) that they'll miss out. 4. So they won the title by 11 points solely due to everyone else being ****? haha, kopite logic right there. You argument is bollocks lad, it's only this season that they've had a bad time of it, if it remains 1 in isolation the harm it will cause won't alter anything in terms of their status & long term outlook. It's only if they miss again next year & then the year after that the effects will become really damaging to both their status in the game & their financials.
That's not what I said. I've always said he should be judged on a full season, always. I did originally think he'd prove to be up to the job but now having seen what I've seen I don't. I still think he should see out the season though as we've nothing to lose now and it doesn't really help making an interim or knee jerk change. We should be looking for his replacement now. If, by some miracle, we somehow suddenly start playing well, with a direction and impetus, and he looks like he's suddenly got a grip then he could well warrant another season, yes.
Absolutely spot on. And, with no disrespect to Dortmund intended as they are a great football club, the United job is a step up and any man with ambition would see it as so and grasp it.
Still putting words in peoples mouths I see "They won it more because everyone else was **** then them being extremely good." Key word right there. Fergie was also a massive factor too.
That's merely semantics, your point was that they won due to others failings more than their own quality. The Fergie factor is ****ing obvious, as the level to which his influence pushed them to is now being seen, but it in no way made them "a club in a state" last season, it just means that they've hired a man not capable of filling the great mans' shoes - this. I fully expect Moyes to be shown the door, probably at the end of the season now, done quietly and respectfully, but with a successor lined up & ready to roll, so that they can keep the City sweet. Klopp wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, as he's rumoured to be fed up of Dortmund being a selling club & is ready for a new challenge.
We won last season because we were the best side by a mile. Nothing to do with others being ****, those same teams are little better this season. The only reason there are teams above us is the simple fact we have been terrible because of moyes. No two ways about it. Fergies influence was about giving the team belief amd confidence, something moyes has destroyed. This united team with a manager who believes in their abilities is the best in the league. Proven time and time again. Take away that belief and start bashing your own players then what do you expect to happen?
Those teams still being **** is whats given us a chance of the title (nope, we won't) entering March! Maybe I am being too harsh on the Man Utd squad but there were holes for all to see (including Man Utd fans) for the last fews seasons, particularly in midfield. You can't claim that Man City, Chelsea, etc were good last year though. Maybe the quality of the league as a whole as dropped more than I think.
You also said, "I've given him time, it's now ran out," but it is a time of high stress for the club and fans alike so you are allowed to change your opinion during this difficult time. If he builds a cohesive team in the next 12 game she should be given a chance. It is a big if though
Some of the performances that we've seen from them this season haven't looked like a side who would run through walls for their current gaffer to me. There's a few of the old guard who have agendas as well imo. The like of Vidic, Evra & Ferdinand to name but 3. Now there's serious questions being asked about his future at OT, then it's very likely the players know that he's got a short period to turn it around, if they want to see him gone for their own reasons, then I think the next few games will show whether he's still 'got' that dressing room or not
So says someone who despite Rafa winning silverware and getting Maureen into this seasons CL didn't want him at Chelsea, and you still can't give him credit. And here you are telling Utd fans to give Moyes a chance.
