Big summer for you, that's all I'm saying.

I'm inclined to agree that Ashley won't let it slide to the point you go down, but to say the idea 'smacks of lunacy' is definitely a bit strong.

Ashley is also a gambler and you have been relegated under his tenure in the past, him throwing money around in January has worked before but it's not a successful blueprint as proven by QPR just last season. Ashley isn't immune to failure, far from it, so that's why I made the statement because by all accounts he seems to be the only person who has faith in Pardew and that spells danger for you.

Joking aside, I agree that Moyes would be perfect for the Newcastle job, I honestly think that Pardew will be gone after this season and Moyes will fit straight in.

I agree that under this management we are in massive danger (I have already said this). I believe we could have Real Madrids squad and we would do well to make mid table under him. There is every chance we will go down but to have us as favourites is a bit strong. I will withdraw my "lunacy" comment but my sentiment remains. That being said, bring this back on topic, Moyes would not touch us with a barge pole (Mike Ashley and he would not work well anyway). He could go to a better club than ours (just not one like Man Utd!)

We're by no way a better club than Newcastle, we're just a better team (albeit marginally this season). You're a great club that has had it's heart and soul ripped out, and your manager has somehow hypnotised your owner. Moyes would go to Newcastle, just not to work under Ashley as you say, but who would? He's as ruthless as they come. Newcastle always seem to have more trouble around the corner in one way or another, I can't imagine what it's like being a fan of them. From an outsider's point of view though, your team is fractured beyond Alan Pardew's capability to repair.

Define "better"? To be fair, rivalry aside, your lot are a huge club. I think Moyes would jump at the opportunity personally, and I'd be gutted by it. I do think you're a match made in heaven, would be very similar situation to Everton (aiming for midtable on a minimal budget and occasionally push for the Europa spots) and just about the biggest job Moyes could possibly hope to land after the disaster that was his Utd career.
