Excellent programme on BBC4 last night that I recorded, about film music and how electronics are used to create soundtracks as well as orchestras. Some of you may try to catch it on Iplayer. BBC4 26th September 0230, called The Sound of Cinema http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod...The_Music_that_Made_the_Movies_New_Frontiers/
IMHO The best opening title music in Film: The soundtrack is also my favourite.
Giorgio Moroder
Ennio Morricone
Bump... The Missionary for Ennio Morricone is my favourite. 7.10 to its peak at 10.50 is quality Then there's Goodfellas. Love the choice of every track to every bit of carnage in this film.
I want to highlight the show Ted Lasso which is an exxcellent viewing experience and it shows the power of good music as well. The scene at the end of episode 8 when Ted was coming to terms with the decision was heart breaking but even more with the music.
