We had the youngest team in the league on average over this season. It doesn't sweaten finishing in ****ty 7th but at least it bodes well for the future that we don't have an ageing team like United

That's right because it's not as in ManU will be buying any young players like Zaha to replace the aging one's is it <doh>

Opta Stats vs transfermarkt (whatever the **** that is), I know which I trust more <whistle>

Opta is for England, transfermarkt is Ze Germans and covers the whole of Europe...

when it comes to getting it right in terms of statistics and football (as opposed to ideologies and dress sense) I'd probably lay money on our Hun brethren.

I'm surprised that we do so well on that table. We started the season with a keeper that's older than our manager.

Another political leader has condemned Luis Suarez: Robert Mugabe! <laugh>
"Contests come at various levels. We have these contests - Dynamos versus Highlanders … those are contests at lower levels. They must train our participants to recognise the reality of sport. Sport is sport. It is not war".

Have you gone too far when dictators start telling you that you've crossed a line?

Liverpool owner Tom Weener claims that Liverpool have made `remarkable progress` under Roy Rodgers. <doh> http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22653681

<laugh>

I call it mid table stability.

Thats because you dont like Liverpool, dont know the facts and are therefore completely incapable of making an objective statement.

Liverpool have been top goal scorers in the Prem in 2013, drastically improving our chance conversion rate.

We also have had a succesful window in January and blooded a good deal of our youngsters.

Also got more points in the league than last season.

Maybe you have a different definition of progress?

Won one less trophy and reached two less finals, won't be in Europe next season and had a net spend of about £40m though, RB.
It's debatable whether you had a better overall season, in my opinion.

So the fact that you have a lower win % than last season doesn't count? Of course you did better in the league. Last season KKK was getting to 2 finals and let the league form slip. Fact is you've won a smaller percent of your matches. How is that progress?

We definitely did IMO.

This season started badly but ended with promise. Players coming through, players coming in this summer, some of the dross to be sold... the 'system' finally suiting the players we actually have. Coutinho.

Something does not stack up right with these stats,
Suares 26
Gerrard 32
Carragher 35
Reina 30
Enrique 27
average age 30, that means the remaining six players need to have an AVERAGE age of 17.44., even Stirling is older than that.

Well for instance Carragher only played from January on, and Reina had spells out injured, Gerrard missed the last two games.

But I agree it seems odd!

Not got an answer then BR?
