I didn't think it could get anymore delusional in Lafferpool Land but apparently it can.

Comparing the players in 06/07

makele, gattuso, mascherano no contest imo. mascherano has gone on to show that he is a far more complete footballer than either of those 2, (see his pass for pedros goal in the spanish supercopa). In 2007/08 both gattuso and makele were both on the wane, mascherano was already destrying midfields.

Mascherano better than makelele? Hahahahaa

I think they do have one poster who knows what he's talking about: "This is why our fan base is regarded as being amongst the most deluded football supporters in existence."

Nuri Sahin, Steven Gerrard, Allen and Lucas Leiva-a-a
We've got the best midfield in the world

What tune is that supposed to accompany?

Same as our 'double double double' chant. They used to sing it about their CL Winning one I think

HIAG

Looking forward to that mocumentary on Laffferpool. They started filming it at the end of last season when they played Fulham. Since they began filming they lost a cup final, sacked their idol and had crappy attendances on their USA tour. Now they've released a clip showing big bad Bwendan acting big to a 17 year old. This should make for great viewing <ok>

<laugh> what sad ****ing moron you are

well done on searching the whole internet to find a single post from an enthusiastic LFC fan

even the first reply says it's not the best in the world

the guy is just enthusiastic, that's what supporters of a great club do <ok>

you do understand that all the flags and scarves Liverpool fans wave were made or bought by themselves and not left on the seats by the owner?

you have no ****ing idea what football is about <laugh>

Lafferpool were the first club in this country to give away free flags. I'm still unsure why a club giving something free to the fans is seen as wrong anyway.

I'm looking forward to seeing Aggar crying after you lost the FA Cup Final. This mocumentary is going to make you an even bigger joke of a club.

For me this sums up one huge element of what it is that makes so many people sick to the back teeth of Liverpool FC - the self appointed greatest fans in the world. No other fanbase spends as much time telling the world how wonderful they are and trying to hog the spotlight everytime the slightest thing hapens at their club. We can all wave scarves and flags, moaning about the board when it does something we don't like and sing about our teams - it's hardly unique. Everyone loves their clubs - we just don't allgo on about how we love ours more than anyone else so it makes us in some way special.

<wah>

maybe you should focus on loving your own club rather than hating another <ok>

but you can't do that when your club has no history, no culture, plastic flags and stolen songs <ok>

I don't hate any club - I just pity the delusion of some that their club is the epicentre of the world. My club, like any other, has a history all of its own and whilst it may not be anywhere near as draped in silverware as others (in fact no silverware at al other than promotions but hey ho) I am still proud of it. I just don't use my support of a football team to define me as a person and assume that it somehow makes me superior to other people.

Incidentally, every set of fans in the world "steals" songs unless you're going to tell me that the awful dirge that is You'll never Walk Alone was composed in the Sefton Arms of a Saturday afternoon by the Anfield choir rather than written by Rogers and Hammerstein some years before.

I rest my case - "ooooooh we're marvelous because we have more individual flags than some other clubs". Talk about desperation <laugh>.

No, desperation is handing out homogenous plastic flags to the crowd in an attempt to get some atmosphere going

You'll never walk alone is a Celtic song, that Liverpool stole.

An English newspaper siding with an English clubs version of events, who would have thought it, im pretty sure I seen an article in a Scottish newspaper claiming the opposite
