It's hard to tell whether it could have been a bit of both but there were definitely a lot of fans upset at Dean's second half performance.
To be honest I've seen a lot worse performances from refs but I don't understand how the ref, the linesman, the match of the day pundits and seemingly every journalist missed Vertonghen and a West Brom player(might have been Olsson) both throwing eachother to the floor. I must admit at the time I didn't notice the Vertonghen throw their player to the floor when he was being tugged around by his shirt but afterwards I think a lot of our fans saw Vertonghen rugby tackled to the floor totally off the ball. In hindsight the incident all seems very silly and Jan isn't innocent in it all but at the time it looked and felt like we were wronged.
