Good game today lads![]()
Don't talk to them B4F, we are not their rivals as we are a massive 2 points behind them in the league. Oh how I wish we never had our worst start in 100 years.

The difference is, of course, that we have three or four key players to come back from injury - and yet we are still above you in the league.
You are already fielding your strongest side.
Who do you think ought to be the more worried, you or us?

1. What part of "in no way see it as an expectation and never have" do you not understand?...
2. **** all that, when did you last beat us 4-0.
What is it about ****in Pool fans and constant historical waffle!![]()

When AVB sorts out that collapsefest you call a team then maybe CL footie again but otherwise.. just
You've got problems too pal. How long until AVB gets fired?
What you young Mousers must always bear in mind, is that Spurs were never expected to finish in the top 4. Yes, we will always be in competition for a place, because we have a great squad of players (when they are all fit), but none of the so-called "professional pundits have put serious money on us to finish top 4. If we finish top 4 (as we have done twice in the last three seasons), everyone says that we have punched above our weight.
'Pool, however, are now viewed as fallen giants by the professional pundits. 'Pool lackies, such as Hansen and Lawro pretend that you don't stand a chance at finishing top 4, but you can tell that, secretly, they believe you will, and are, therefore, doomed to eternal disappointment in the modern game.
That Mousers should come on this thread to crow about 'Pool winning and Spurs losing as a joy-substitute for having any hope of finishing top 4, that is a very, very sad thing to behold. Anyone who, like me, remembers the Mouser from former times (mainly the 70s and 80s) will know that he held his head high with pride, and rose above such petty vindictiveness. Still, I suppose this is a sign of just how much things have changed.

Neither were we. Couldn't be bothered with the rest![]()
Oh, come off it!
"This season will be our season!" Isn't that your club's motto?
Usually summer when they can tell how their big money signings (you know, Downing, Henderson, Aquilani, Carroll, Adam etc) will make them contenders and the reality of autumn is still far away.

There are lots of advantages to being 8. Not being blinded by history, for one. As Henry "Halewood" Ford said : "History is bunk."
Another one is calling things as you see them. Who are this mid-table team reliant on one player?
Where have I mentioned history?
You're dreaming child.
