Yep, but if you own a house you will know that it needs re-doing constantly, a quick lick of paint every 10 years or so just makes it look shabby
Except the years we finish higher than 5th. And we may buy a celebratory drink. Mousers OTOH will buy a celebratory http://www.amazon.co.uk/They-Dared-To-Dream-Liverpool-ebook/dp/B00LEG66SE
So gutted just got in from an interview and missed this whole dialogue. Don't think I've seen a poster getting roasted from all angles like Suckyklopp has been this evening. Superbly done chaps, although the twat does bring so much of it upon himself.
And looking every bit as talented as Giggs. Probably couldn't "step up" to a massive club like Liverpool though (like so many, many before him)
We consolidated 5th, and now we're challenging for the title. That is progress. 'Pool have been, mainly, a mid-table side in all the years that Spurs have finished 5th (and twice at 4th). That is not progress. I'd rather be where Spurs is, now, than have all the Glory Years behind me.
We're going to finish 5th this season, Sucky? Is that your prediction? You've forgotten the two times we've finished 4th over the past 6 seasons?
Plastic Paddy and professional Mouser John Aldridge wept into a pint of Guinness top whilst admitting: "Dele Alli is going to be a star - make no mistake about that. I baulk at the fact that Liverpool had this kid and let him go (Steady on there!). We’ve bought so many inept players over the last few years for so much money and you look at what we turned away, it really hurts me to see. The kid wanted to play for Liverpool (according to Brendan 'The Truth' Rogers), he was a fan who loved Steven Gerrard (less so since he has learned what Stevie procreated with to produce Jon Flannagan) when he was younger. He had a manager at MK Dons in Karl Robinson who was keen for him to go to Liverpool. So to miss out on him and to now see what he’s doing for Spurs and for England, it is hard to take. You can see what a player he’ll become, he can play in so many different positions. Chin up son. Joe Allen and Benteke won't live forever
It's the least you can do since having us all banned is another achievement of your club. It will be a fact right up your street since it was the 80's.
Football is about trophies nothing else is valued, you say. I don't understand why you watch your team in that case...you have no chance whatsoever to even fight for one realistically. You only hold onto your argument because it covers the embarrassing decline of your club. Your like a celebrity in the 70's who can't go old with grace and hides behind the plastic surgery due to the insecurities raised by those that have come after you and surpassed you in their attractiveness and lure. Once again I feel your pain.
Liverpool were allegedly paid £10m less for Luis Suarez than was reported at the time, according to a leaked report. The document, which was published on the Football Leaks website, claims that the fee for the player's July 2014 transfer to Barcelona was £64.98m. The club declined to comment on the leaked report. I'll bet they did! What whopper comes next? Mignolet has 5 more long years at Anfield? Benteke cost £32.5m and is on £140k p.w. for 5 years? Balotelli has 3 more years at £110k p.w.? Lazar Markovic (who?) cost £20m and has 3 more years on his contract? Jose Enrique (who the ****?) has been paid £75k p.w. for the last 5 years? No, apparently, after researching the issues, they are all absolutely true! Mousers!!
Bah! Blatant rip off of this one: Anyway, a reminder to keep it civil and not resort to insults. Looking at you, @Citizen Kane This thread's not quite what it was in it's heyday when we had a good variety of Liverpool fans coming to gloat about "next season" before inevitably going silent once the season kicks off and we give them a good old trouncing to the coveted 5th place. Can't wait until they sign Gotze and the cycle begins again
What did I do?! I've (sadly) hardly been involved in the public ridicule going on over the last 5 pages. Magnificent though it was reading through the carnage left despite my absence, can you point me in the direction of where I have erred, your Grace?
Being able to incorrectly quote the years that teams have won stuff doesn't mean that you know your club's history. The opposite tends to be true, in fact. The omission of most of it would certainly point to that.
Robinson's a Scouser, which is the only reason that he wanted Alli to go there. He was a season-ticket holder and he's married to an ex-Brookside actress. He couldn't get more Scouse if you caught him nicking your hubcaps. He soon changed his mind once Spurs approached the club, though. Other clubs thought that Alli wasn't worth £5m and Liverpool are supposedly one of them. They spent £117m that year on Lambert, Lallana, Can, Markovic, Lovren, Origi, Moreno and Balotelli!
