brian i'll be honest with ya mate, your patter just bores me is all. nothing personal im sure your a hoot in the flesh see ya after the game good luck.
i'm still trying to get over the fact someone is paying Milner 140,000 a week. Tommy Lawton must be turning over in his grave....and if Bobby Smith had been earning 140,000 a week, the bookies would have been kissing his feet all the way to his betting slip!!!!
"TITLE-CHASING Tottenham are plotting a sensational raid on rivals Liverpool for skipper Jordan Henderson" Jordan of the Hendersons ?? Wasn't that some 80s rubbish about some ancient bigfoot creature encountering modern times ?? Not sure what the connection to Liverpool is though ...
i think it works out around 2m a year in wages, not sure how long his contract is for tbh. thats nothing we paid 16m for Aquilliani and paid him 80k a week, i think he played like 20 games if that for us, he along with Carrol, benteke, and many more are examples of awful business. i have a feeling we wont be seeing many, if any expensive flops under klopp, he seems to like a bargain, and pulled out of the deal for that brazilian when the price got silly., hopefully thats a sign of things to come transfer wise.
I think this is why the often mentioned end of season clear out by Chelski and ManCity etc is a lot more complex than it seems. The main complexity (though it will not doubt be fudged by UEFA) is that to buy a whole new team, or even a fraction of one, is so expensive that it might break FFP rules (although I accept that somehow it won't). Secondly these players are on such high wages that very few teams can afford them - unless of course their original team carries on paying part or most of their wages, which again impacts FFP (yeah right).
Yes, indeed. We got stung with Adebayor, like that. I think, initially, £ity were subsidising his ridiculous wages, but we ended up carrying the entire can, ourselves, after a period. It's £ity own fault for putting these players on such long contracts at such huge salaries without them having proved themselves in the team. You certainly cannot blame the player. If Adebayor, for example, is 2 years into a 4 year contract, why should he take a wage-cut if £ity want to off-load him?
"You certainly cannot blame the player. If Adebayor, for example, is 2 years into a 4 year contract, why should he take a wage-cut if £ity want to off-load him?" You certainly can here. Citeh made it clear he was history. Spurs made it clear he was not getting Citeh wages. He then spent the summer threatening to screw Citeh over if they did not remunerate him in such a way as to compensate for the 'lowly' wages he would be getting at Spurs.
We're going a bit off subject here. What's Adebayor got to do with mice, hub caps, klip klippity or Brenda's teeth?
I think this is a bloody rat race among the rich clubs and players are getting crazy wages. If clubs want to pay them crazy wages, good luck to them. But how many clubs will be out of business by the year 2020?
Pegguy Arphexad, the former Liverpool and Leicester goalkeeper, has denied rumours that he is now a porn star. Stories that Simone Mignolet has denied that he is a goalkeeper sound about right but remain unsubstantiated at this time.
Out-of-favour Liverpool forward Christian Benteke has been offered to West Ham United, according to the Liverpool Echo. Even more out-of-favour forward Mario Balotelli has been offered to Tesco's Meat Counter according to trade magazine, The Grocer, who commented that £3.99/Kg is very reasonable for a fatty cut (at least it looks very much like cut).
