Love how the pundits are saying that the season started fine in their first two games and has gone badly since then. In fact game 1 against Stoke they were hardly outstanding and in game 2 against Bournemouth the result was a travesty based on the refereeing.

Didn't a similar thing happen to Brazil in the World Cup? They were given plenty of ref help at the start of the tournament so that people didn't realise that they weren't very good.
People realised that Brazil were bad - except the pundits, who are convinced every Brazil team is on the same level of the 1970 or 1982 teams. Similar can be said for how they keep comparing the German team to those of the 70s and 80s, even though they've been one of the best national teams to watch since 2006.

Yep, stereotyping. The media love to do it with football teams - the West Ham academy, dirty Argentinians etc etc. Liverpool haven't won the title for over 25 years. The present team has none of the characteristics of the teams that won the title regularly in the 70s and 80s. Absolutely none.

It's funny Lawrenson has written two articles on the Beeb this week. The first was after Norwich talking about how Rodgers was getting things right and the new formation was great, the second after Carlisle talking about how Liverpool were luck in their first 2 games winning with a wonder strike in a poor match against Stoke and then getting all the decisions against Bournemouth. He's gone from praising Rodgers and the team to saying Rodgers can't afford to lose any of his next 3 games and criticising the players. Just another typical Liverpool fan, I guess.

I suppose that's going to be refreshing about the next Euros: pundits can't trot out four decade-old preconceptions about Iceland, Romania, Austria, Slovakia, Denmark et al.

They'll still bang on about George Best for Northern Ireland games, though - yet never mention Pat Jennings or Danny Blanchflower. Bah...

One of our former players appears to have shown why we let him go.
Lawrence Vigouroux joined Liverpool after being shown the door, who loaned him out to Swindon Town.
They've now terminated that loan after he paid a £50 fine for being late multiple times in bags of pennies.

Another talented youngster who's wasting his opportunities by acting like a twat.

He must've been hitting the weight room to be able to carry fifty bags of coppers around with him all day.

I didn't know about this. Bloody hell, what a twonk.

Yeah, just read a story on this. What makes it even worse is that it was originally a £150 fine until senior players stood up for him and got it reduced as they thought it was harsh on the young lad. I hope Liverpool pay his wages in pennies this week.

Bloody typical. Couldn't wait until after we played them, could they? <grr>
Having said that, he generally got very good performances out of them against us.

"Wasn't hard"

He couldn't finish above Spurs in a season where he beat them twice.
Their owners weren't waiting around for the outcome of the next match-up
(win - and fuel the Mouser delusion yet again, lose - and have a serious reality check) .
