Also fair play to Spurs - I wasn't expecting such a pasting of Newcastle when I first saw the Spurs team sheet. Well done
Lol I saw your post on the Newcastle thread, although most of our fans where thinking the same! I guess having a ton of "Muscle Marys" in the starting line up doesn't mean exciting football can't be played, unless AVB is the manager!
I cannot believe how far off the deep end the Mouser-loving press are going after 'Pool's lucky win, tonight, against relegation-bound Fulham. So many people embarrassing themselves with "'Pool can still win the title!" bollocks! It's hysterical in the truest meaning of that word! All rational analysis has flown completely out of the window. I'm sticking by my prediction for 'Pool to finish 5th.
Spurs were lucky to win at Fulham in December. And let the press say what they like, we won't win the title and are in a battle with Arsenal for 3rd or 4th.
But, Kate, this is one of our worst seasons for a long time, whilst you are having your best season for a long, long time. We're struggling to beat a lot of teams, this season.
All joking aside, Kate, wouldn't it be fantastic if both 'Pool and Spurs reel Arsenal in and finish above them! If that happened, I might even hire a shell-suit from Moss Bros, pop up to Merseyside on the train, and party the night away with you Mousers, to the strains of Cilla and Sonia. I'd bring a few cans with me, naturally.
You lot keep saying that. Despite you are currently having one of your best seasons ever. On current points per game, you are heading for 73 points, that's massive for a club like yours.
Too large for a club like yours, though. Still, you've had a good run, so you should enjoy it while it lasts.
"You lot keep saying that. Despite you are currently having one of your best seasons ever." 1. Either we are having our "best" season ever to date, or we are not. Which is it ?? 2. You lot keep saying that (and yet ... ) .
Brendan Rodgers appears to have hit the bottle during Liverpool's narrow, late victory over Fulham last night. He's since described his side as the chihuahua of the title race, running between the legs of the other horses that are in contention. Inspiring stuff...
Have you seen this man? please log in to view this image He's a criminal on the run in Holland from England, more specifically Liverpool. His name? Robert Gerrard, second cousin of Steven. If you have seen him, then keep it quiet. Nobody likes a grass.
Suarez aside, I'm not impressed with Liverpool this season. Those defensive weaknesses so evident last season are still there. Recently, they failed to beat WBA and Villa and squeaked past Fulham, not to mention conceding 3 at Stoke where the home side had a rare poor day defensively at home. Suarez has spanked as number of ordinary teams, but without him I think a number of the defensive errors would have cost Liverpool results (as they have done Utd without RvP and Rooney). Before Liverpool play Spurs on 30th March, they have 3 of 5 PL games away - at Soton, Utd and Cardiff; in April they travel to West Ham and Norwich but play City and Chelsea at home. Like Arsenal, there are a lot of make or break games in a short period. It will be interesting.
Whereas you're completely out the mix and only getting worse - that's good enough for me If Moyes knew his arse from his elbow you might have a shot at claiming 5th.
