Every time I've watched Uruguay or Napoli in the CL, Suarez seems just as good or better - very different but better. But then Suarez's style is the one I like, so maybe I'm biased. In a less strong position to Napoli obviously we are. We should take £40m if offered... But we have every right to fleece Arsenal like we fleeced Chelsea, and Newcastle did to us. And Villa. And Sunderland. Hmph.
Indie are reporting that Suarez and his agent will ask the PL to intervene to allow him to move to Arsenal if necessary as they are both adamant that the £40m figure is a release clause. Indie are also reporting that Real are not interested in signing Suarez as they want to use the money from the Higuain sale to fund a bid for Bale. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...erpool-striker-even-if-he-begged-8731992.html http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ttling-liverpoolarsenal-standoff-8732679.html
Hasn't Levy told Real to shove their bids up their arses? As a matter of principal, now, Levy won't sell Bale to Real; he'll end up going to £ity for £100m, next season.
We'll have to see who's got it right. I really can't see Liverpool agreeing to sell him to you, or to any premiership club, unless they are forced to. I can also say, in total honesty, you're welcome to the low life scumbag. You'd be buying yourself a whole ****load of trouble, IMO. He also has the commercial appeal of a dose of clap!...I can just see the advertisers lining up - to run in the opposite direction!..
Pepe Reina's open letter to Liverpool fans: http://pepereina25.com/en/2013/07/2...el-liverpool-gracias-por-todo-os-vere-pronto/ One interesting part: "But if I have one regret, it is the way that I am leaving. It is only natural that I would be disappointed that the Liverpool management agreed to loan me to Napoli without telling me first, I thought that I deserved better than that even though I understand that difficult decisions have to be taken in football. A lot has been made about me informing the club that if an offer came in from Barcelona that I would have liked them to consider it. But I had also spoken to the club about the possibility of extending my contract if the offer was not made. I told the manager that I wanted to play for Liverpool and that Barcelona would only become an option for me if the opportunity arrived, like the rumours said it would, as it would be a chance for me to go back home. When it didn’t come I was happy to fight for my place so I was surprised that Liverpool decided it was in the club´s interests to send me to Napoli instead." Another piece of masterful man management by Rodgers?
I reckon Roy has one season left at 'Pool, tops. If he manages to win some silverware, he might scrape another season, but no silverware and another mid-table finish, he's gone, imo.
Do you think AVB will last another season if he fails again to win any silverware or misses out on the Champions League ?
Depends on the cirumstances but we probably wouldn't be trying as hard to keep him if other clubs came in for him, like this summer. Would you want Wenger out if he took you through another season of battling for a CL spot and nothing else?
I think the pressure is on Wenger now to deliver, seeing as we have made such a public display of how much money we've got to spend, a mistake in my opinion. We should have just got on with our transfer business without making a song and dance about it. AVB is a decent young manager, but if Bale goes then Spurs look a bit ordinary to be honest and I think he'll struggle to get them any higher. You might benefit from Everton looking rudderless though and Rodgers just looks like a sitting duck, if they lose Suarez to us, then Liverpool will be even worse off than you without Bale.
I love all this "he respects the fans". Yeah right oh - I could fully understand Liverpool fans being absolutely fuming with the way he's going about this quite honestly. No symoathy for Brendan Rogers though but then that's personal.....
I think suarez found out his name was in all 3 of brendan rogers envelopes, and thats the real reason he wants out of liverpool.
Somehow they missed a whole list of far more offensive words used to denigrate women - and since when was there a history of Japanese players getting racially abused in the Premier League? Also, this list would imply it's okay to harass players for being ginger, German, French, Welsh...
